do you think you will recover the not being attracted to being really attracted at soon
I think so. Everything else seems to be coming back. I no longer have erectile dysfunction so I think it will all come back in time. I remember when I was 2 months off all I was looking for was Hope. There is hope but it just takes time. I noticed my first improvements at 5 1/2 months and then my biggest improvement at 7 1/2

Our stories for recovery timeline are very similiar, I noticed my first improvements at the end of month 4 right before month 5 and a huge improvement at month 7 then fully recovered at month 8.5 after taking the 2 loading doses, you took 3 shots yes?

I took 5 shots total. 4 (156 mg) and 1 (234 mg). I am very surprised to be healing this fast after that many shots. I wouldn’t have believed you if you told me 5 months ago I would be close to be healed by now. Do you have a job or are you in school yet?

That’s a crazy fast recovery timeline for 5 shots especially at 156mg cases like that are rare but definitely possible, I was back in school at the end of month 4 off the loading doses, I don’t have a full time job yet but I can be productive and make some money helping at places part time or selling some things as a side hustle, I may decide to start working full time once I’m done with school if I decide not to go rehab for addiction treatment, I can get a job working 10 hour shifts 4 days a week at 18-20$ an hour which for being 19 is pretty damn good.

One thing I will say to people that are healing. The biggest thing I regret from the previous 8 months is not keeping in shape. I smoked like a chimney, never worked out and ate somewhat unhealthy. By time I was close to being healed I was so out of shape that working out is very difficult because my body is in shock. If you have the energy I suggest you work out so you are a step ahead of the game and in shape by time you are getting better. I know it is difficult as I used to have trouble even showering.

Definitely keep with the side hustle. Drug rehab works for some people but it didn’t seem to work for me. But if it works for you I wish you the best. What school do you go to? I’m going back to University of North Carolina at Charlotte in the fall

I had those problems after being injected but fully recovered my ability to read.

I’m still in high school not sure if I’m gonna go to college or not if I do it’s not gonna be this upcoming fall I’m gonna take a break from school for a bit and just focus on making money, I know a drug rehab that would work for me but I’m going for the addiction treatment in general my main issue is hardcore porn addiction I relasped a week ago and now my mind is trying to justify using cocaine and xanax so far I’ve resisted that but that addict demon in my brain is really trying hard to get me to give in, what would really benefit me is going to a nice facility with fun actives like sports, a nature spot like a healing garden and a nice weight lifting room I know a rehab that has all that and more, really a change of environment having people I can talk to who can relate to struggling with addiction and most important 2-3 months with no phone giving my brain a chance to rewire it’s self from the delusional state it goes in from addiction should do the trick.

Reading sucks on invega. I couldn’t retain information at all. I would read a paragraph then forget what I read immediately. I would also have trouble understanding what the author was trying to say after reading the entire book. Like I had no deep thoughts and couldn’t make connections. Now I read like a breeze. I can find symbolism in things again and understand what the author is saying. Same with movies. I wouldn’t watch movies on invega. I would just look at my phone because I couldn’t pay attention. Now I’m back to watching my favorite shows and movies and can retain the information. Invega definitely makes you feel mentally disabled. Just remember it is the drug and you will be back to your quick witted, brilliant self.

I recently saw an add linking tinnitus to bad memory, specifically creating new memories.

They offer a solution to the problem which only works on certain people, but I didn't get that far. It's an ad after all.

Makes sense, though. I don't have many memories I can step back to of my times on Invega Sustenna.

Part of it is just getting used to it. Not to say that it doesn't cause problems, but people can adjust with positive habits to make life good again. It won't be the same thing, but you can still be happy. It just might take a little extra effort. Exercising the mind and brain are very healthy. You'll form new connections and in time will enjoy life again, maybe even much more than before. It's kind of an investment in time. For me at least, thinking about my problems too much actually makes them worse. Finding new ways to have fun productively will really help.

are you recovered? whats your story

It's really designed to be taken for six months to a year before it really shows how much its worth. Probably almost everyone doesn't like it at first. Takes a while to work on the negative symptoms.

I am recovered. I was on three shots and recovered way fast because I was working and going to school fulltime. Switched to another one after the Invega.

Invega sustenna and other APS do not help negative symptoms at all they make them worse and create secondary negative symptoms you never had to begin with. APS only have the potential to help positive symptoms but it doesn’t help every person.

Blocking most dopamine and serotonin receptors leads to unbalance and unhappiness. It’s hard to adjust when you can not do anything physically or mentally. Just because it worked somewhat on you somewhat does not mean it works for everyone. Especially the people on this forum. The fact that you “recovered” from a medicine it sounds like you’re condoning is mind boggling. There is no getting used to invega in my experience.
