There's also a bunch of disempowering messages in psychiatry and that whole field too. I find identifying with a so-called mental disorder to be very disempowering, that like you're stuck with it for life and can't do anything about it, that you can only try to 'cope' with it in some way that involves taking their medications, though after the injections maybe you really are mentally ill at that point, ha. Then they tell you that you should tell everybody that you have a mental disorder, when this is usually a very bad idea unless it's just telling someone very close to you, but telling employers? Hell no, that's something that you should just keep to yourself.
Then there's pretty much this whole thing about never getting angry at all, even when there's times when it's definitely justified, like when the psychiatric people try to hold you against your will and force inject you for instance..Then I had to take like these anger management classes a long time ago and I've seen it in other places too these 'I' statements, like when talking to people you're supposed to say that like I feel this way or I feel that way about something, it's like wtf, nobody talks like that, it's gonna look weird af, or in some circles probably even gay or something lol. Mainstream psychology never seems to mention the aggressive and animalistic competition amongst people for social status and sex partners that goes on. It's like the best way to conduct yourself is first don't get yourself into any trouble with the law over something stupid but you've got to have like a line that people should be able to sense that they're probably gonna get knocked tf out if they cross it ultimately on some level, many people just seem to take kindness for weakness that's probably the only way that they're ever really going to ever respect you especially as a dude. There's just alot of disempowering stuff and messages that goes on. Also it can be arguable and can really piss alot of people off but the degree of responsibility and accountability that you should have for yourself and your outcomes in life to not have it be like having a victim mindset is something to think about too. Typically the more responsibility and ownership you take for things the better that things will get or will have the ability to get as a general rule it looks like too, and it also seems that certain things in society actually try to get you to relinquish that responsibility and have you think like more of a victim, and in turn be taking that power away from yourself that you might've had to change things.
