I live in Canada.
I am 30 years old, I have lived my whole life without experiencing anything like this but a little over a year ago something very traumatic happened to me and I was very suicidal and they diagnosed me with having "psychosis". To add insult to injury, they then put me on this medication, refused to put me on anything else, and it has made my life worse in many many ways.

My heart goes out to everyone in this forum, I am going through the exact same thing and always felt alone.
I think I'm going to try to go off all medication. Did any of you have withdrawals when you stopped Invega Sustenna?

If any symptoms reoccur, I then think I am going to go to my family doctor and maybe try the 2 drugs you suggested.

Does anyone else have any advice?
I'm really open to what everyone thinks here.
So you werent hearing voices ever. It sounds like your not psychotic. Sounds like you should be off meds snd just deal with your problems. Your lucky you didnt experience psychosis. Just stay off the meds and never go back on any antipsychotics as most likely it would make you feel like shit. Your lucky in a way. Now you have about 1 year to recover from your invega sustenna jnjections. So just wait it out for a year and you should regain your motivation your energy your emotions and everything else these drugs take away from you. Good luck! Most ppl here want to get off the meds and never go back on.

Withdrawal anxiety is crippling much worse than being on invega itself can barely go without benzo's also getting random sweat attacks...manage to open chakras but they randomly close again. The half life / duration of invega is insane it closes everything off its anoying as fuck

So in a few months my penis should be fine right? I can't live like this and I'm sorry I speak about it so much, I just can't cope with it because I was hypersexual before. Used to jerk off like 3-5 times a day

101 days off, last night was rough! Brain zaps all night and weird chest pains. Has this happened to anyone? Is it a sign of Invega leaving my system?

I started getting those anxiety waves soon after I started exercising a lot and I speed up my metabolism. Seems like shit is getting out of brain vesacles due faster body but that blocks receptors more. Also thing made me feel worse, like I backprogressed in recovering. But this might mean I will recover faster.

Anyone get brain zaps? I posted on Reddit about it and they said there withdrawals? I just didn’t think you would get withdrawals 100 days after

it's withdrawals. Once you get over the withdrawal phase everything will be good.

So I had my endocronologist appointment today & they won't prescribe me Dostinex (Cabergoline) which I'm really dissapointed about. They just want me to just wait for my prolactin levels to drop naturally. They've dropped from 2171 to 1677 in about a month & a half so it would take months for it to drop to 500. But luckily the Cabergoline that I ordered from overseas came yesterday & I took my first dosage last night I felt like maybe some memories were coming back a little last night but don't know if it was placebo. I've read some really good reviews about it like lowering prolactin, bringing back period, increased sex drive, improved mood. I'm hoping for the best

Maybe if you went to a GP and say your suffering from restless legs they may prescribe it, I don't know.

That dropped significantly in a month and a half….just wait a few more months and you’ll be losing weight by the summer time! You’re lucky you get to be off of medication. I still take ziprasidone that’s hiked my prolactin and made it impossible to lose weight. I’m 102 days off of Invega Sustenna.

I know this is about invega but I got switched to haldol 75mg when before I was on 156mg of invega. My question is, should haldol improve my sex life like the doctor said?

What did recovery feel like was it something that came on slowly over time & every now & then you noticed you were improving or was it more sudden like one day you woke up & felt better? Did your emotions come back in waves or slowly?I
One day, I was walking on a park, thinking to be anhedonic like others days . I tried to run a bit and miracoulously, I was able to do it in a far long distance than before and took a bit of pleasure into it. I will always remember this day ; it was the proof that I was feeling better. I also started to take pleasure into conversation and also something important : I was not constipated anymore. All these things has arrived in the same week if I remember well. recovered libido also.

My advice : try to do different high dopamine activities from time to time to see how you react to them : Youtube on tablet , video games on console/pc. But for me, just running a bit in a park have been the revelation of my cure.

I have started to play video games a lot during a few months, so happy to have my dopamine back. I play a lot of video games and never really enjoyed alcohol or smoking. I have also rapidly been to the gym and take muscle rapidely also.

So yes improving has appearing like soomething "sudden" in my case

Hi i too was on a community treatment order but am off it now. I too suffered from psychosis. Hearing voices. My.plan is to switch.to seroquel and if seroquel doant work for me.to then switch to rexulti. Also a new medication callednulotaront is coming out which should be.much better. Its supposed to not cause negative symptoms and cognitive decline like how the other meds do. But we wont know until we try it. Do you live in america or somewhere else?

Also do you think you can just live with the psychosis? If you think you can then maybe just get off meds entirely.
Have you tried to find the correct pill dosage ? maybe you can try with 5mg abilfy and see if you still hear voice. look also secondeary effect. If you still earing voices, than try 10 mg etc...

I have to say that my girlfriend feel way better with abilify pills. She doesn't speak alone anymore and she doesn't hear voices. secondary effects looks tolerable at this moment.

But I am very afraid about injections. These injections looks really to block dopamine far more than pills. My gl had a injection of abilify 3 days ago, I am sure the poison has not yet really move into action, it can take a few weeks imo (it was my case). THe next injection of my gl is 400 mg abilify witch is a high dose apparently.

I have to pray God for a miracle.

And considering a single injection of invega (and surely abilify also) can block our dopapine during 6-12 months, why do we have to take these fuking injections every months ???

I also know these injections are super expensive, like 600 € in comparaison to a 28 pills tablet. witch cost around 20 €

Abilify is trash with a half life of 72 to 90 hours its toxic as fuck and accumulates in the body. All these clinical studies are rigged anyway almost nobody tolerates or want to take anti-psychotics
