Mental Health Coming off Invega (paliperidone) injections, v 5.0

Has anyone on here that recovered got back their pre-invega body?
I have managed to lose a lot of weight but my body is nowhere near what it used to be.
Especially the girls, have you noticed an increased chest size?

How much weight have you lost? I’m running 6.6kms a day and then walking 5.5kms a day and haven’t lost any weight. I think my new antipsychotic is preventing me from losing weight. Depressing, I’m trying so hard.

In my experience if you cold turkey Olanzapine it takes about 3 weeks to feel yourself again, you should make sure they didn't inject you with anything such as Acuphase when you were in the hospital, if you were injected with Acuphase it still will take about 3 weeks as Acuphase ( a terrible drug) leaves your system quickly.

Also you will have insomnia, maybe melatonin will help.

The problem with ordering medications online is that they may not be what they say they are, not trying to worry you, I'm sure you will be ok, but you never know if it's what it says it is.

Suggestion: you can get bad products less often by checking reputation of seller on reddit and similar stuff.

I have lost about 30 pounds so far, still trying to lose more to get to my goal weight. I feel like invega increases the body fat percent in the body, because even though I’m 125 pounds now I have a lot of fat. I used to be around 125 pre-invega and looked very slim.
I started losing weight around month 6, so you may have to wait until then, if you’re lucky you may lose weight before that.

I have been on zyprexa before. As long as you took it under 8 weeks, you can safely cold turkey and expect to return to normal in about a month. The weight gain will take about 5 months to completely go away. If you took it for more than 8 weeks, then you will have to taper slowly, and may deal with insomnia.

Holly! You lost a lot of weight! Good for you! Yeah it does increase the fat! When I was down to 114 I still wasn’t satisfied and that was only four pounds off my goal weight

Did you get your period back? I got mine for like four days in March so my prolactin could be decreasing!

Yes, I got my period at month 3 and month 6. After month 7 it became more consistent.
My prolactin levels gradually decreased to normal by around month 10 both times.

Yes, I agree! Invega completely changes the shape of the body.
I am considering doing a body fat percent test at the weight loss clinic to find out how much fat I need to lose.

I come from time to time here because I had 5 or 6 invega injections in the past and I have fully recovered. ( around 8-9 month of strong anhedonia). Many t hings happens so far. I remember speaking with a korean guys on facebook and I worry he has suicide himself.
Don't lost hope guys, especially if you are not on forced treatments.

As for me , I have been missdiagnosed, I am not schyzophenic at all. If you have no mental-ilness, you will recover. If you have mental illness, IDK, surely you can recover but when you feel better, maybe keep on pills and find the correct dosage if you want to avoid psychotic disorders .


Recently, my girllfriend has been diagnosed schyzophrenic because she speaks alone and she ears voices... I think she have really a bit of mental illness. Only 1 month at hopsital and they have decided today to inject her with abilify . Everyday, psychiatrist love injection more and more.

Do we have some report about abilify injection ? it looks like it has less seconday effects than invega but not sure. Some peoples seems to react badly to it... I pray God for my gl will be able to have a correct life now. I have warned her by phone but impossible to make her understood what evil injections are.

edit : after I stoped injections , it tooks me 6-7 months to recover.

8 months off depressiona bit lifted but anhedoni thinking maintains before xeplion i was able to create music and entertain from little things but nowadays nothing amusr me at all,but i got used to it i feel like recovery will happen at 10 or 11 month mark ...i really dobt know but at least its beareble

I’m on 400 mg of Abilify Maintena (injection) and it’s really about the same as Invega. I’ve been on it for almost a year and my life is in shambles. It’s very depressing
