Hello- I’m new here. I’m 23m and have bipolar disorder. I was put on Invega at a mental hospital last December, and the side effects are killing me. I’ve got the whole package, anhedonia, akathisia, extreme suicidal ideation, cognitive issues that make it hard for me to even talk, it’s really bad.

I’m court ordered to go to my psychiatrist, but I’m telling her I’m refusing the shot. Not sure how that’s gonna go, but I’ve got my grandmother going to my appointment with me to help explain why I’m better off without it.

So so far I’m 1 month since my last shot, hoping things get better. I won’t let them inject me again.
Oh yeah and for context I think I received 7 shots

That must work out to be quite expensive? Are you finding that it's helping at all?

What do the people at the lab have to say?
A doctor at the lab contacted me but then she left on holidays. I am increasingly asking my 2 friends left to take me to assisted suicide.

I hate that it ends with suicide. But I was really weak following the commands of my family and my psychiatrist. It is really horrible what they have done to me. I am at 8months minus 9 days and I have not recovered at all. They continued injecting when I was really bad and they even disagreed when I stopped. I should have been more courageous and stop at 2. I am going to pay following psychiatric and family threads with my life. It is a truly sad story. I was particularly weak because my partner had left me so I needed people to hold on. This is torture to death

Is wild dreams every night for months normally with the withdrawal of Invega/Xeplion (paliperidone) injections?

The dreams have lasted since around 16 June. but have getting worst since they started. I'm so exhausted from these dreams every night.

I'm still not finished with the withdrawal of Xeplion injections.

I was having wild dreams/nightmares consistently during the first 2 months off. What helped me a little was trying to sleep with a small/weak light turned on (my former therapist came up with this idea)

As of now it's still pretty difficult for me to fall asleep but I don't get those insane dreams even if I sleep in the complete dark

Yeah i dont recover in waves. I ki da recover all at once. It hasnt even been a year yet so dont give up hope.
It has been almost 8 months and I bedridden. I have no improvement. And I have not recovered my sleep. My friends expected of me by now to be able to sleep a little to rest.

Yeah for me when i recovered it wasnt really by waves. I just kind of recovered all at once. At least wait a year b4 you take any drastic measures.

My mom was conplaining to me today about me being lazy. I tried telling her its cause of the medications im on. Shes saying im just lazy and lack willpower. Any of you get complaints from your parents that you dont do much in your days?

Yeah my dad thinks I can just automatically go to work and I can sweat out the drug. Incase all of you don't know, you can't exercise and just sweat out the toxins. It doesn't work like that. So technically working out does nothing

How long do you think it will take to get rid of 17 Invega shots?
It takes 1 year to recover from 156mg + 234mg shots.
It takes about 10 months to recover from only 1 234mg shot.
It takes about 8-9 months to recover from 1 156mg shot.
So, start counting down from the last shot you received.
If you received all 17 shots at the same time, then I would assume it would take like 3 years but I don’t think that’s the case.
