LOL Tricomb, you finally got some Magnesium! Mg is truly a mineral miracle, better than all the vitamins/minerals combined in terms of benefits, imo. It's also a muscle relaxant, anxiolytic, antidepressant (through relieving Mg deficieny), blood pressure reducer, etc.
Any vitamin/health store should have it, Vitamin Shoppe is where I get mine sometimes, or from online. Make sure to check the active ingredients, as some unscrupulous vendors will claim their magnesium is "chelated" when it is really a mix of chelated (gylcinate) and oxide (crap Mg form).
This is a really good point. Neuronal GABA levels tend to plummet in the absence of food and sleep. Our bodies and brains need food and sleep to prevent our brains from speeding out of control, as GABA is the inhibitory mechanism of the brain, kind of like the "speed governor" on a sports car. This is why taking a benzo when you're not anxious will make you feel slow and stupid, but taking a very precise (small) dosage of a benzo when very anxious does not impede cognitive function, it simply slows down a speeding brain to normal speed.
When using alprazolam I've found it best to slowly titrate your dose sublingually in increments of 125 micrograms (0.125mg), and IME, is a good benzo to start with for stimulant comedowns.
When I used to not spend all my $$ on it I would buy those meal replacement drinks, take Vitamins, WATER WATER WATER, TEA, benzos and playing with cute cats. Also if you haven't been eating a lot, Go slow and making a lots if small meals ready for ur crash rly helps.
