Coming down from Adderall XR early?

Hey guys. So SWIM takes Adderall XR pretty regularly recreationally. Now, usually it lasts him about 6-8 hours, but recently, SWIM has been coming down earlier and earlier. He had a tolerance day yesterday, and took 22.5mg of Adderall XR today, and came down after about 3 hours. Does anyone know what may be causing this? It's very frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have had the same problem with Adderall. After a while of using it recreationally, I would start to crash faster and faster and faster. It was so bad, I had to give it up. Even with huge breaks, we're talking a year between dosing, I would still come down way too fast for my liking. I have no explanation, but obviously our brains adapted to this chemical somehow and doesn't respond the same way anymore. It totally lost it's magic for me.... maybe you'll be a little luckier and be able to regain it down the line...

Tolerance will do that. After a while the effects won't be as strong, or last as long as they once did. One day doesn't qualify as a tolerance break. It takes quite a bit longer for tolerance to go back to baseline.

An XR is supposed to work for atleast 10hours though, after 3 hours amphetamines should still be consistently absorbed into your system. So it's quite odd that you claim to comedown at this point. I'd think after about 3 hours you'd reach your peak and after that the effects start declining over the next 3-6 hours.
