Coming down from Adderall or Provigil

Hi guys,
I am currently at work @ 600mg Modafinil, and I feel very good, a little euphoric, without any sleep at all. I am working fine.
I am worried about the long life of this drug, and I think I will be unable to sleep tonight.

I have read that Diphenhydramine kills completely the Modafinil high, and have experienced myself that benzos like Diazepam or Clonazepam doesn't work. I also remember reading that Carisoprodol do work.

I have like 2g of Lyrica and some 50mg Diphenhydramine pills for tonight, however, I won't have any food until tomorrow night for weird economical reasons.

Any suggestions or experiences about coming down from Adrafinil or Modafinil will be very welcome.

I have never tried Provigil, however i am on adderall . Benadryl could work to make u sedated. but benadryl is a horrible sedative. it seems to have its maximum sedating abilitities at around 25-100 mg. anything over that and it starts to make ur muscles feel restless or tight or whatever and it starts to become unpleasant. i have taken large doses of it , (over 800 mg) and i have found that higher doses make you really tired but they also prevent sleep due to the muscle thing, in other words benadryl makes you tired and restless. Benadryl will probably not come anywhere close in efficacy to benzos. Benzos activate GABA receptors which are inhibitory and will cause unconciousness or sleep in high doses. Benadryl on the other hand simply blocks the muscarinic acetylcholine receptors. This also has a somewhat inhibitory effect on the brain , but it also speeds up the heart and makes you feel restless. A dose of benadryl over 150mg keeps me from falling asleep. i have just typed into google the diphenhydrame/ modafinil thing and didnt find a thing, so it is more likely to be inaccurate/anecdotal evidence of the diphenhydramine being more effective than benzos.

i am surprised however that the benzos dont work for you. given that ur lyrica actually increases the effect of the benzos. i also doubt Carisoprodol will have anything to do with killing modafinil, it is just a muscle relaxer.

however if it is true that diphenhydramine kills the modafinil it may be due to its antihistamine effects since modafinil elevates histamine at various parts of the brain. however the anticholinergic effects of diphenhydramine are not pleasant if u take more than 100mg . its worth a try though since diphenhydramine is easily obtained , it may work

yeah Benzo's are far superior to benedryl, i get the same weird restless syndrome from that especilly if it doesn't knock you out in like 30 minutes or so, you are gonna feel like shit. You'd be better off with a scotch or 2.

^^agreed... diphenhydramine is a weak sedative... it's only strong when taken in high doses.. and in hish doses, IME it produces insomnia, RLS, and sometimes delirium if you go too high...

have you ever tried any hypnotic benzos (loprazolam, lormetazepam, flumitrazepam etc...)??
