[Combo Subthread] Tryptamines + Ketamine

So i've been seeing a lot of stuff on doing tryptamines with mxe with a good number of people saying that it's great.

I've never done mxe, i dont know all that much about it either, i've just heard that it's a worse cousin of Ketamine (correct me if i'm wrong) with more negative side effects.

well my question is, if tryptamines can combine well with mxe, how would they combine with K? i hear so much about the mxe + tryp combo, i want a good combo so my reasoning is leading me to think that if K is similar and better than it'd be better, but if the tryp suits itself better to mxe then i'd do that.

i plan on doing this with 4-ho-met. there's going to be this nice festival with great djs. it's not like a crazy rave or anything its more chilled out.
ive done 4-ho and i like the visuals and clear head/lucidity so i don't think i'd freak at the place, plus im experienced with K and it'd lend itself nicely to some of the acts.

i'm looking for a great combo and tryp + mxe seems to be looking good, but if anyone can answer my question it'd be highly appreciated.
is the synergy with mxe + tryp shared with K? i'd rather have a nice synergistic combo than mix 2 good substances and get two mixed highs (if that makes sense)

Personally, this isn't a combo I'd want to take in public. But I'm a bit of a sissy when it comes to such things.

K & DMT is a very odd but wonderful experience, hard to put into words really, not at all like DMT on it's own. It's almost as if the senses get rewired for awhile, breathing through my feet and all kinds of synesthesia. I've never experienced such ego loss with DMT and K separately, even in break though states I've always knew who and what I am.

This purely speculation, but I image MXE and 4-HO-MET being somewhat similar, but with a longer duration and a little less intense.

October is such a nice month. In Florida, Hurricane Season Begins to wrap up, the humidity and temps fall, Football Season is in full swing. You cant really ask for much more. Hell, my birthday is in October- yes I'm a Scorpio!

After a few wonderful suggestions I thought the Ketamine/Tryptamine idea was great. Its been a while since I did the combo thing. Back last year, we had a Psychedelic/MAOi Thread. Being that I have never Tried the two in combo, I would really like to hear what everyone thinks about the combo. I have tried Ketamine, in a series of small doses. And I got nothing but a strange lightheadedness and strange visual elements (shifts in proportion, things looked smaller, farther away...). I just could'nt see throwing a Tryptamine in the mix a great addition, I was so nauseous while I did the Keatmine. But, that is why I want to know more about this, I have been told the nausea goes away once you start to hit the larger doses.

So, if anyone has any questions about the combo, this is the place to ask. If you have any experiences please this is the place to share them. Anything, even if you have a question about just Ketamine, ask.

Also, I am running out of Ideas, and I want YOUR opinion on what should be the next Substance of the month. Without it I am just going to have to start picking drugs out of a hat, and they may not be that interesting. So if you like the idea of Cephalexen being the next Substance of the Month do nothing.

That's totally wrong, it's quite a different experience from ketamine actually, although there are similarities. It does provide a dissociative effect similar to ketamine but it isn't sedating (which changes the nature of the experience a lot), lasts longer and definitely has its own character besides these differences.

Also I don't experience negative side-effects, just as with ketamine. However I only use it ocassionally.
 
Mixing Ketamine and tryptamines goes fairly smoothly, mxe should be the same as I've seen those under the influence of both MXE and (presumed) 25i-NBOME, and another on supposed LSD. They had good nights, but never did MXE again. Seems to be a one and done type of drug for those I've met.
 
Mixing dissociatives and tryptamines is generally considered pretty awesome, I'm pretty sure that will be safe, but the unfortunate thing about combining that particular drug with ketamine is that the K will wear off pretty quickly. Unless this show you're going to is the sort of place you can re-dose the ketamine you might actually be better off with some MXE or DXM, the former lasting a solid 2 to 3 hours and the latter a solid 5.
 
I did it once with 4-HO-Mipt and i wouldn't do that in public for any reason, i had an insane experience, i didn't even remember i had taken MXE when the trip ended.
At the peak i was at ++++ and it was just fantastic, the body feeling was just incredible, like my fuilds were floating in the room following the music, that wasn't for sure handleable in another setting if not in my home.
I'm not even sure how much MXE i took that night, the 4-HO-Mipt i think was 25mg or more anyway.
So they seems to mix well and produce very interesting experiences but they can push you really far, like in my case.
If you want to try it stay low with doses in that context.
 
I personally prefer to mix trypamines with ketamine over MXE, by a substantial margin. It's not that mixing with MXE isn't a good time, it's just that its manic dissociative sort of psychedelia, when combined with a tryptamine's classical 5HT psychedelia, results in an experience that's a bit erratic and cluttered for me. Ketamine is, relatively speaking, a disassociative whose proportional effects are far more focused on the NDMA receptor than MXE's are, which is to say when combined with a tryptamine I feel this property enables it to operate more independently and without jostling around in whatever networks the tryptamine is lighting up in the sensorium. The two seem to work more in tandem and less against one another. I prefer DXM to MXE for 5HT psychedelic combos for some but not all of the same reasons, which may be difficult to understand for the ~2/3rds of people whose physiologies don't get along with DXM, but probably makes more sense to its fans.
 
I have been looking into this combination recently as it seems like it could be quite an interesting experience. I have never really combined two psychedelics, though I have used MDMA and ketamine together, but not to the extent I plan to bring it with tryptamines. I have however had an extremely dysphoric experience with MDMA+ketamine years ago which is why I am apprehensive, however I am committing that experience as an atypical reaction.
The reason I have been so drawn to this combination is that despite the great experience a "k-hole" provides, it often lacks colour and vibrancy, something which I have read could be enhanced by 4-substituted tryptamines (likely 4-AcO-DMT, possibly 4-HO-MiPT) and I feel these two compounds in unison will provide a very powerful and memorable experience. I do not use either of these psychedelics often so there will be no tolerance to factor in, and I am considering roughly 15-20 mg of a 4-substituted tryptamine orally (typical dose) and 80-120 mg ketamine insufflated (typically use 150mg-200mg to achieve a "hole" while laying in darkness and silence). I am wondering if the two compounds will hold their effects individually or if the mixture will synthesize entirely new effects that are not characteristic of either component.
I am going for this combination over MXE as I do not particularly enjoy MXE anymore; its lasting negative effects were found to outweigh the positive effects of the experience itself.
