Combining O-Desmethyltramadol and Pregabalin

I was wondering if this is a safe combination to make? and has any one had any experiences with it they could share?

Nothing inherently wrong with the combo in terms of interactions except pregabalin is classed as a "downer" and mixing downers can be really risky. It should potentiate the o-desmethyltramadol so I'd lower your dose of that and try it with a small amount of pregabalin to see how it affects you. You can always take more but you can't take less! Some people get a lot out of pregabalin, others hardly anything. Are you experienced in either of the two drugs? :)

Don't be tempted to throw any alcohol or benzos into the mix too!
 
Thanks for the reply. I am experienced with pregabalin (i usually use it to enhance the effects of alcohol) and also tramadol (to the extent of bad withdrawal symptoms) but not o-desmethyltramadol (i have not tried it yet but will be trying it very soon). Based on some of the things I have read on BL, i am not expecting o-desmethyltramadol to be too much like tramadol and more like morphine & codeine, i could be very wrong!
 
Nah I'd say you're right, it's the opiate-y part of tramadol and imo it feels quite a lot like morphine, less histamine than codeine, I was nice and noddy from it once I got my dose right :) doesn't have the jittery edge tramadol usually has for me.

Just go for a low dose to start with, expect the pregabalin to potentiate it and go steady. And enjoy! :)
 
Just go steady with it, start low and build yourself up, and don't mix any other downers in and should be all good :)
 
^ indeed, too many people have been caught out by the synergy of two downers, increasing the effects far more than expected, even when you are used to one..
 
lyrica synergizes nicely with opiates. it was favorite thing to mix with oxy, behind benzos/marijuana

I can't remember the name of the common pharmacuetical, but it's a sedative that is used for multiple things like anxiety and motion sickness. I also heard this drug potentiates opiates real nicely.
I was prescribed it for anxiety but it made me feel tired and sometimes gave me mild unwanted hallucinations. I remember saving it after I heard about it's affect on opiates. Although the drug on it's own wasn't that useful.
Does anyone know what drug that is? I could prolly find the bottle in a few days but if its useless I won't even look.
 
No it's not those, Ive been perscribed Ativan (best benzo for my anxiety yet) and promenthazine I've used as a sleep aid, does prmenthazine have a potintiating affect with opiates. The chemical I'm thinking of started with a V. I'll try and find the script. But I remember the drug info strongly saying do not take while on opiates, because of the strong intesifing affect.
