I have been clean from opiates for just over two weeks now. Thankfully about 90% of the physical symptoms have subsided, but I am left with INTENSE cravings & facing an entire weekend alone which will undoubtedly leave me painfully bored. I guess ultimately I am looking for advice and suggestions about how to occupy my time. It seems that hobbies that once interested me have totally lost their allure, and frankly I'm scared of what this long weekend will do to me. I should also note that my anxiety levels are through the roof, so I'm looking for things that I can do at home. At this point in time going out by myself just doesn't seem possible. Any tips, suggestions, & ideas on how to occupy my time would be immensely appreciated =)

Congrats! I always dive into long TV series to combat boredom. I'm also a nerd so I dive into anime series that are ranked well. Develop hobbies, I stayed sober a year playing Magic The Gathering on a competitive level. Watching long tv series was key for me. Game Of Thrones is the shit you should def watch it. Death note is a wildly fun anime that is loved by the masses. Also Attack On Titan is legit and it drags you in hard. IDK, best of luck and if you have any questions hit me up.

Thanks for the advice :) I love Game of Thrones!! Was already considering re-watching the series & re-reading the books, but now you've convinced me! Thankfully I have Netflix, but sadly I haven't come across anything that's held my attention as of late. I'll definitely check out those other titles you mentioned as well.

Wow thanks for all the links!! Certainly going to check them out a bit later :) Also looking forward to whatever you can provide about cravings!

I am in the exact same boat, Lafemmejdm. Just over three weeks now and I'm trying sooo hard to get my motivation back.
I believe it will come with time.
The cravings are hard to deal with, but I try to resort to drawing or writing, now that my head is slowly starting to clear up.

Just keep swimming :)
