The America of today has sure come a long way.
What we didn’t like, we erased-what we did we praised.
America is on the two-inch mark of the Ruler,
And heading towards the third. But America won’t stop there.

Once it reaches the end, it will ask for a Yardstick-
On that wood of achievement it will head towards the one goal
That will bring us all together and transform America into a Home.
In this Home will dwell three hundred million children,
All as different as any two flakes of snow,
But as friendly towards each other as children should be.
Color won’t matter, and neither will race.
After all, we all have a face.
Two eyes to see, and two ears to hear,
And one mouth to speak with-not to spread fear.

Yes, America has come a long way.
It’s the envy of the world and also its leader.
But wouldn’t it be better if all could just say,
“Color doesn’t matter and race doesn’t either”?

Different I like it...

That will bring us all together and transform America into a Home.
In this Home will dwell three hundred million children,
All as different as any two flakes of snow,

Arent most yardsticks colorless anyways.. Although I have seen green and yellow yardstick mainly all I see is the wooden variety.
