couldn't doctors prescribe concerta or ritalin pills to cocaine addicts to manage their addiction or something?

^They could, but in most nations giving an addict fun drugs for "non-medical" reasons is forbidden. I think in Canada there was a study using methylphenidate to maintain stimulant addicts. But some might not like Ritalin. Some might want amphetamines for maintenance, some may need cocaine itself.

They've done this with heroin addicts in europe with great success... even methadone clinics here are kinda similar in concept... they work... but they also go against most of the "drugs are bad/evil" propaganda... and the people pushing the propaganda have a lot invested in it...
