Colloidal Silver

It is of quite low toxicity actually. The main adverse effect is a potential deep grey/blue discoloration of the skin and eyes. A permanent effect. It can also interfere with the uptake of various Rx drugs. I'd say best avoided!

I can not picture how any self respecting, trained pharmacist would stock his or her store with a potentially harmful product that has no possible benefit or authentic medical use. I'd report them to the college of Pharmacists myself.

Oh, it's this thread again....

I'm a chemist, working for a medical device/advanced materials company specializing in medicinal silver. This is what I do for a living. My opinion: DO NOT FUCKING TAKE COLLOIDAL SILVER INTERNALLY! At best you're wasting your money, at worst you'll turn blue. Topically, ionic silver (i.e. silver that can dissolve in water-- not a colloid) works wonders for wound care at the right dose, but there's not a single dressing that you can get over the counter -- yet -- that does anything. I have personally tested them and can say that for a fact. There are prescription devices that work, however. I can't go into detail, as I don't want my online persona linked to my professional life, but I can say the following with confidence:

Colloidal silver = snake oil. Period. There is precisely zero good literature out there showing that there is any useful effect from the topical application of colloidal silver, and taking it orally is, quite frankly, not advisible.

I am new here. I haven't made colloidal silver in awhile so was looking it up and found this forum.
I have been making my own for years and have never turned blue. I don't drink cups at a time, just a few tbsp when I have an illness or eye infection.
It has worked wonders for our family.
My son has eye irritation right now, and we use it for that. It clears it up within a couple of days.
Dr bob beck has you tube videos on how to make your own silver. He recommends the sotainstrument device which is what I have and have used for about 8 years now.
I have the pure silver and use distilled water. Never any problems.
This last batch has turned more amber so I bought new pure silver sticks.
I am not a doctor, nor a scientist, but dr beck has very interesting videos on this subject.

Does anyone make their own?
I was wondering how often you replace your silver sticks.

I put my silver sticks in the device and cook the water for 4 hours.

Sota, Bob Beck, BioElectromagnetism, Rife frequencies and the like

Any on the forum in to any of these? I started researching a lot of Bob Beck's studies and am thinking about purchasing some things from Sota. Maybe make my own ionic colloidial silver.
