to wage unjust wars
spending millions
to ruin lives of children
manifest destiny

eventually leading to destruction

i lie awake
dreaming of the drugs
i wish to take
with none in sight
i rack my mind
in search of a natural high
with none to be found
i become depressed
and begin to regret
my past drug excess
percocet and ecstacy
maurijuana and mushrooms
yet these drugs
they can only hide
what is inside
my fear
anxiety
depression
and torment
now with no chemical shield
i must face my soul
