Opioids Cold water extraction question

I recently attempted a cold water extraction of 5 hydrocodone pills and 2 tylenol 3s all crushed up together. I used Harry's Cold Water Extraction Procedure and only did one round of filtration. I poured the liquid, ~35ml before filtration, onto a paper plate and put it up high in a closet to evaporate off all of the water and in theory be left with just hydrocodone/ codeine powder. The problem is that I went to check on it today and a coating of crystals, sugary consistency, is on the bottom. Is this APAP or my opiates coming out of solution due to the volume decrease? If it's APAP should I filter the whole thing again and toss the crystals or are there opiates in there somewhere?
 
If you followed the directions correctly whats left over should be your hydro and codeine. I have never done cwe's before so idk exactly how its supposed to come out looking, consistency wise, but i'm sure it'll be something like you described. What was your reason for cwe? Just want the apap out for health reasons or do you wanna use a diff roa other than eating the pills?
 
I've developed an opiate tolerance lately and wanted to take more without screwing over my liver in the process
 
The crystals forming will be APAP until the volume drops below a few mls when the opiate alkaloids will start to precipitate. You can choose to filter again but you will always have some acetaminophen unless you do a chemical extraction.
 
^basically, you're alright with what you have left over. it isn't enough APAP to do damage.
 
you want to crush the pill put them over a wet coffee filter and cup a pour water over them then the water will contian only the drugs not the APAP
 
^That method is okay but won't be as effective as letting them sit in the water and fully dissolve.
