Been researching this and tried it for the first time, I screwed it up I think letting the water semi freeze in the freezer.

Few questions:

1: I have 7.5/325 percs. I am doing this with about 5 pills at a time. Is it even worth it at this point? 1600+ of APAP

2: How much water for 5 pills?

3: Is the step in the freezer absolutely necessary? Can I skip this step?

4: Finally, how long does it take to filter. First time it was still filtering (coffee filter), an hour later. Maybe because I froze it too long?

Thanks in advance, I know there is a million articles on this, just want to do it right and save a little of my liver ?

1. Removing any unnecessary APAP is necessary, yes. APAP at any dose is hepatoxic and there's no medical benefits from ingesting it to offset the harm.

2. I'm unfamiliar with the exact volume of these pills, but I'll hazard a guess at a minimum of 30ml and a maximum of around 50ml or so. Just add water until its no longer viscous and has the general fluidity of regular old water. Try not tu use too much now or you'll dissolve more than the minimum of APAP.

3. The freezer step is necessary in that it maintains, or as you found out is intended to maintain, the solution just hovering above 0°C/32°F during the entirety of the filtration process. It would be cautious to intermittently check its temperature relative to freezing and periodically remove it from and replace it in the freezer as needed.

4. I've filtered larger solutions of APAP/codeine/caffeine tablets at or around 40 count and large quantities of water, say around the 100ml mark and it has taken upwards of 40 minutes to filter properly, but I was using a more porous media as a filter, in the form of a scrap of a dress-shirt. YMMV of course, but a coffee filter is way more tightly woven than what I used.

As a side note, no need to thank us I'd you needed a specific set of information pertinent to your exact situation and couldn't find answers via the search engine.

Good luck, and let me know how it works out and if there's still a problem, we'll try and hammer it out.

Venrak is right about everything. I just have one thing to add. When it comes to how much water it depends on your intentions, if you're drinking it then I try not to use very much because the taste is extraordinarily terrible like generally half a cup. If you're plugging (probably not since Oxy has a very high BA by mouth) then you can use very little but don't spill any because you'll lose a lot.
