Cold Water Extraction Method Safe?

Hey guys. I'm completely new to the forums, and I have an urgent question about a CWE method I'm using. A friend of mine found a method that suggested crushing tablets and dissolving them into 3/4 cup of warm water, the person mentioned that using too much was better than using too little, so he used a cup of warm water to dissolve the powder. The powder contained three crushed pills, each containing 7.5/500 of hydrocodone and APAP, totaling to 22.5/1500 mg. He let water cool to room temp. and then placed liquid in freezer for about 30 minutes. Afterward he placed container for coffee pot over glass, placed prewet coffee filter inside it and filtered solution. The result was a semi-clear liquid in glass and coffee filter pasted with white sludge. He threw away filter and sludge, rinsed container and replaced filter to a second filtration. Afterward he was paranoid and recooled solution and refiltered one last time for good measure. The second and third filtration yielded no additional sludge. So after my long winded description of the process you might ask what is the problem? He found a post of this forum that was explaining the process and how you are supposed to use much less water, so now he is paranoid. Can anyone who has good knowledge of this sort of thing explain how risky drinking the solution would be? He knows for it to be safe there can be only 1g of APAP left in the solution, but now he is worried that enough may have not been filtered out.

Hes fine, if it didnt yield any sludge after the second cooling then that means the APAP is gone. Thats what the white sludge is. Does he not realize this?
As far as the water thing, from my experience to much or to little hasnt seemed to make a difference.
One more thing, a lethal dose of APAP is around 3000-4000mg or 3-4grams.
I hope this helps, be safe it was smart to ask.

Peace,
DTHM

Yes, I believe he did realize the white sludge was APAP, but the paranoia came from hearing that you are supposed to use about 1/4 of a cup of water when he used a cup instead. This led to fear about how much of the APAP in mg was in the filter, or how much was dissolved in the liquid. I know with the amount that he tried to extract, at least 33% would have to be extracted for the APAP content to be at the maximum recommended levels of 1g in the solution.

Thanks for the reply.

Tbh 1.5g of APAP is far from dangerous - not advisable to do daily though.
Plus just use cold water, 2ml water per pill and 2 extractions and swig.

As others have said, the APAP is the white sludge left over, as long as the liquid left over is clear(ish). You should be a-okay.
As for the amount of water, in a sense, from my understanding, it is less about the solubility aspect and more about how much you will have to drink afterwards.
From experience, drinking bitter foul tasting solution is never nice. Even when cordial or fruit juice is added. Yuck! An the less I have to throw down my throat, the better.
oxycodone, codiene an some other salts, exhibit a higher rate of solubility in colder water, where as APAP is the opposite. So as long as you've crushed your tablets well, there should be no need for warm water. As this leaves more APAP in the final product.

Though in essence, as long as your water is sludge free and pretty clear, your liver should be fine.

Peace.
