Cold Water Extraction Fail?

This is my first time doing Vicodin and I took 3 5/500 and did a cold water extraction, but when
I put it in the coffee filter, there was no powder after all the liquid filtered through.

Now the liquid is in my cup, can I still drink it? Will I feel the effects?

1. You probably didn't let it cool down enough after dissolving the tablets. You should refrigerate it until it's cool. The acetaminophen is less soluble in water than hydrocodone, thus at lower temperatures it will precipitate out of the solution, while the hydrocodone remains dissolved.

2. Don't really need to do a CWE for 3 hydrocodone.

3. Don't use SWIM here.

4. Yes you can still drink it, even if you filtered none of the acetaminophen, it's not going to hurt you.

Yeah, I put it in the freezer till it was pretty damn cold and I knew that but I just didn't feel like taking the pill so I decided to learn how to do CWE

I have no idea what you could have done wrong to get no powder in the filter. As said, three pills really isn't a lot so maybe that has something to do with it. IME, CWE is kind of hard to mess up so I'm not sure what your issue is. I'll bump this over to BDD so hopefully someone can give you more advice.

Was there a hole in your filter?
Try doubling up your coffee filters (one inside the other)

as said the only real explanation i can think of might be that you used an absurd amount of water, didn't cool the solution, or someone cut a hole in your filter. you only need 2.5ml of water(some argue less) per pill. if you cooled the solution and ran it through a filter(t-shirt,kleenex,paper towel,cheese cloth, etc.) i can't imagine why it wouldn't have worked. as people are saying it really is quite hard to fuck up..hmmm...would love to actually see how you prepared this.....i'm sort of baffled haha

I wouldn't advise a t-shirt or kleenex for filtering - t-shirts don't have a fine enough mesh and tissues can tear far too easily. Coffee filters really are your best bet. My vote is that there was some powder but it was such a small amount, and damp, and spread across the filter if you used quite a bit of water, you just didn't notice it.

Your max APAP dose in a day is 4g, try not to have more than 1g at once if you can help it..
