Cold Turkey

Well A's been diagnosed offically with "The Flu", though I still think its a cold. Either way tamiflu is a good idea, as either way he'd be covered.

I'm probably going to get a reem out from the doctor, big mouth ratted me out for using his Clonazepam 8) eh well. Now I will def. get a piss test tomorrow.

If I only used Amotryptoline 3 times at 50mg each time, would they be able to differenciate it from clonazepam and siroquel or will it just be listed as Benzo on a piss/blood test?
:(

I have to cold turkey my meds and it fucking sucks. Withdrawls suck ass.

Top it off with a 4yr old with chest congestion.

Fun times yay! :|

The smell of my sweat smells weird too, or It might just be me that thinks so.

Clonazepam = 3 days cold turkey
Cipralex = 2 days cold turkey
Siroquel = 2 days cold turkey

Self medicated (stupidly) 150Mg (over 2 days, not at once) of Amotryptoline (sp?).

So 2 days cold turkey that.

Now add in that I have a home alarm system with a key pad with numbers that are like 1/2" in height and width.

YAY! :|

Oh wow I am so sorry, I hope you make it through OK!

Is there a reason why you are doing this cold turkey, or is it a choice?

Both, but more so for a reason than me "wanting" to. Which my doc is going to flip about but its good reasoning rather than just stopping for no reason.

Thanks tho. :)

Why take tamiflu? Unless one's life is threatened by the flu, it is a bit excessive. Not all bugs need drugs and all that. Bedrest, fluids, healthy foods and did I mention fluids? Yeah. Fluids. They're great.

normally i wouldn't but after he lost 1/3rd of his body weight when he was 2yrs old and nearly dying several times and a still yet unknown illness that cause all of the above, we no longer take chances with his health. His diet is strict and so is his vaccinations and it's always touch and go when he gets ill. Just this time around he's only 2 days into being ill and already have lost almost 2Lbs and is only 15Kgs at almost 5yrs old and 46 inches tall. I think he's already had tamiflu anyhow, I'm pretty sure this isn't the flu but rather a cold with some chest congestion. Flu is a dry cough and his is a flemy cough. So I'm pumping him full of water and he's been asking for food (though I have limited it to bland foods).
I've recently started drinking Vitamin Water which is basically like gatoraide but tastes better over my usual cola / caffine.
YAY FLUIDS! :)

You're braver than me. There's no way in hell I'd stop my benzos cold turkey unless I was forced to. One of my withdrawal symptoms is severe gran mal seizures, which often cause me to stop breathing. :\

Im lucky I didnt have any seizures, as I am an epeliptic . well in remission for 20yrs now but still could come back, my mom's came back after 40yrs (at the age of 50!) My mom hasa different case than I though she's the fade out kind and the shakes BOTH (weird but true). I have Nocturnal Epilepsy which means I have seizures while I sleep. I think I had 2 this week actually. I was pretty fucked up.
I went cold turkey cause I thought I was pregnant but test came back negative all around, so now Siroquel is gone and my cipralex is up to 20mg a day (once in the morn) and same dose for Clonazepam, though I am going to probably try and get him to up it to 2mg because 2mg seems to help me more than 1mg.

I did amotryptiline for 2 days and OOOh boy did that shit fuck me up. I slightly recall talking to my kid on the phone on thursday....or it might have been friday....I cant seem to recall what day I started my A binge.... did 4 pops of A over 2 days. Must say though never slept better in my life.

All I had was the jitters, light headedness, dizziness, scattered thought, confusion, talking at first was a chore trying to explain things....simple conversation was okay but when i had to get into detail....tripping over my words and studdering. Sweating like a bitch, and my sweat STUNK like a raw diaper or something.... UCK! raunchy never had such a horrid smell come from my pores before :|
I am very lucky i didnt get a grand mal though, or a heart attack.
Soon as i got my script filled and I got home I took my old packet of Cipralex, and had one which is only 10mg but I have to ween UP now that i have been off for 2 days or whatever....and i gobbled down 2.5mg of clonazepam.

wore out feeling but no more jitters but still light headed at times but that could be weight related as I lost ALOT of weight on the siroquel. I was 118Lbs and went down to 96Lbs then up to 98Lbs yesterday, haven't weighed myself today yet.

You know youve lost alot of weight when you can touch thumb to middle finger almost all the way around up to your elbow :|

Now I have to drink that shit Ensure to help me gain again, alot with eating 6 times a day again.

I just got up to my ideal weight when that facking Quetipine (Siroquel) made me lose it ALL.

Not doing cold turkey again any time soon. That fucking sucked.

I was bug eyed all the way home from the doctors LOL

Oh and A doesn't have the flu, so i am glad i didnt get him the tamiflu he would have been pucking up all night and we would have spent the day in the ER yet again. I think Scarborough Gen. used to know him by sight, being in the ER so often back in 2006/2007. Thank the gods that he's been very well up until now.

He's still under target weight he's only 15Kg at 4 1/2 years old and almost 4 feet tall. So yeah, he's like 5Kg under AGAIN, not fun, we had him up to only 2Lbs (1Kg) underweight, now we have to work him all up again with 6 meals and Ensure and exercise, though it might be hard with his bowed legs. Which we have to get looked at before he starts grade 1 which is not too far away.

Next year he starts french immersion, Im glad cause I never got the oportunity to do it, and I WANTED to. Im glad I graduated with a B in french, so at least I will understand primary french...maybe?

Boy is doing better, I got some tylenol in him, some vicks vapor rub for his congestion and lip balm for his chapped lips and nose.

Might post a picture one of the days. Who knows, lol. :p
