I need help with my husband (2016 - 55 years old) - 5 yrs ago he got pneumonia and was given the meds to get better. During this time, he was having sleep issues and his doc gave him halcion with the medication to sleep and of which he took for appx. 7 wks. and he figured that something wasn't right and went cold turkey - to which it was not a good time for him. We went for a consult and they said he should not have been on both meds at the same time and he definitely should not have cold turkey at that time and that he could not go back on the meds/halcion, so he has suffered alot. The underlying issue is that the doctors do not know what to do and in 2015, they have prescribed him as having mild sleep apena (yes, he snores, sometimes loudly, low and/or not at all). In addition, he is up every night for 1, 2, or 3, hours. It is not breakable, he can not sleep through the night - He has anxiety, body chills, heart palpations, muscle spasms, involuntary kicking of his legs, when he starts to sleep and during the beginning of sleep. He is a very fast sleeper as well, just until he wakes up. In addition, I do get woken by him-he is my husband and the love of my life, which is why I am asking for help. Suggestions Please

It's possible the antibiotics caused a drug interaction with halcion, but that was five years ago right? I think your husband should talk to his physician about getting a sleep study if he hasn't already. I'm waiting to get one done too because I wake myself up snoring and don't sleep through the night. My doctor said sleep apnea can cause other health problems if left untreated. Do you notice if your husband stops breathing?
