i know there have been cold shower threads in the past, but i felt that the topic would not be brought up again in a good way if a year old thread got bumped
cold showers are a very good stepping stone into other great habits because our whole lives we have simply accepted that when you have a shower you take it at the temperature you like
but may have not critically thought to ourselves, why do i need to have a shower that is warmer than the temperature water would naturally be?
sometimes what we like isnt always the best thing for us

i personally would attribute the mental power to quit a 3 year nicotine addiction, by learning how to overcome the initial hesitancy of embracing fear
so i think it could help other people get out of other ruts in their life, where that initial fear holds you back from doing something thats good for you
if you dont want to say bye to heated water you could always have a warm bath once a week/fortnight as a reward for the cold showers in the early stages
also some sites recommend you stand under the cold water for 5 minutes straight to get the full benefits from it, whilst that could be true it would be a pretty daunting and depressing concept for me to think of doing that the first time i had a cold shower
so i think a good way to do it is to ease into it gradually and if that means you dont shower for a couple days, dont shave for a couple days, i can vouch its worth it in the long run
has anyone else got any stories about cold showers they can share where they noticed a significant positive impact upon other parts of their life after embracing coldness for what it is?
or what are you thoughts on the idea? good/bad/i dont know/are you insane?
who knows maybe it can help me write posts without quadruple spacing them
