coke use risk with bad viens

SWIM stopped using IV stuff about 60 days ago....he got a bad infection and then detoxed soon after. Ultrasound of his arms reveled damaged veins ect. Now this person is dabbling with an old habit and I know that elevates BP and HR. He monitors is BP while on, but what is the risk of some kind of blood clot from his previous IV opiate use coming loose and killing him? He goes for like 12 hrs straight doing rails every 30 minutes or so...

Oh yeah, he also takes clonidine to lower his BP while using then Valium to come down.

Just curious how big the fire is that he is playing with.
