Coke: to IV or not to IV?

getting coke from a really pure source is good. but you can always wash it. which i would say you should do if your questioning the quality of it.

yes you wanna dissolve it in cold water. think of it like sugar in water. the hotter the water is the easier for any cut and crap to disolve into it. but it its cold its a lil bit harder for cuts to disolve not saying all of them but some of them. and you will see like sand like stuff in the bottom of your spoon if its crappy stuff.

as for your very first foray into the exciting world of intravenous cocaine use, well, it sounds like you put a lot of thought into your decision and did your best to take all necessary precautions (shooting coke is obviously inherently dangerous, but how one goes about actually prepping the shot, sticking it in, etc makes a huge difference in just how risky th behavior is and,naturally, the fewer safety measures a user bothers to take the more likely it is that he/she wll have a - possibly fatal - problem associated with injecting), so, hey, you're going about it the right way and that's definitely a good thing. the trick is to maintain this level of care when you find yourself desperately trying to get a vein at 4:30 AM after you've been shooting without stopping to eat or whatever for the last 10 hours and everything's covered with blood, you ran out of new needles a while ago and have started recycling old ones, your heart is beating out of your chest but all you can think of is getting that coke in your blodstream.

Amen. I've been there, and that's exactly the way it is. If I could stop after 1 or 2 all would be swell. Just not the case however. I have been clean for 2 years, and occasionally still fantasize about buying (and using) an Oz from my old SoCal hookup. What a trainwreck that would be!

Wow this thread is a goldmine of people summing IV coke the fuck up. Why is it that it's such a bloodier affair than shooting anything else? I remember hanging out around my bloody desk with bloody needles everywhere and just blood blood blood. What a mess.

I never shot coke, or anything for that matter. But this brings back memories of my first few crack sessions. I was in TOTAL control. I only took hits when it made sense too, I didn't need more than enough rock to just cover the screen per hit, and I didn't really jones when it was gone. Before I knew what was going on, none of that applied anymore. I'd drop 0.4g in the pipe, hit it long and hard, and then immediately chase it with ANOTHER .4. And then I'd hold it in until I couldn't hear the train anymore. Then 10 minutes later, I'd push all that oil and drop another rock on top, and take another mega blast. No ringer at that point, but I'd start gagging and shit. God, where the fuck was I trying to blast off too? I'm in hell now, I guess that's where.

oh man. maybe it cause i only get 50s, and usually only one a night. but right after the shot i put a toilet paper on it. i don't let the blood drool down my arm.
