Coke - small up, big down

until this weekend, coke was a special occasional thing that happened only during my high school years.

had it avail to me recently (this is now 26 yrs after high school) and so i tried a gram this weekend for kicks (.5 g each day). while the somewhat euphoric effects for 10 min or so are fun (and ensured heightened libido for sex including more powerful orgasms), the need to continually take it because of the short duration is unacceptable and the general come-down is quite a drag.

admittedly, i very much enjoyed the nostalgic olfactory sensation, drip and taste of it. but, what the fuck - how can this shit be an attractive modern day drug?

am i missing something?

ps - what alternatives are there for longer duration and less of a comedown?

thanks!

I feel pretty much the same way. Total bummer of a comedown, crazy expensive, short high..

Drinking while coking is way better. The two drugs together create another chemical (cocaethylene I believe?) which seems to prolong the coke high and delay the comedown. Drinking also makes the comedown more tolerable and helps get to sleep.

Still, I am not a fan of coke. Methylone gives me a far greater euphoria than coke without all the bullshit shallow "coke talk" that I hate so much. There are a bunch of great alternatives.

I do love the taste and smell of coke, the numbing drip and the first 10 minutes. Other than that, I am not a fan. I did a fair amount of coke in highschool and some in college, but not so much these days.

Really, really good cocaine is hard to come by nowadays. I hardly ever do cocaine, maybe a few times a year (despite my username lol) and the reason is because of bad quality. Good cocaine is not found in the upper states, it's in the southern states where good cocaine is. By the time cocaine gets to Detroit it has been cut god knows how many times.

You want good cocaine - Florida, Southern California, Texas, etc.

The shortness of the high can be a positive point, depending on how you look at it... makes it especially attractive in terms of smoking/slamming, not to mention fairly easy to control how high one gets/stays. Sure, the comedown sucks, as it does with all stimulants.

I don't see the attraction and either and have a hard time thinking that I could ever become addicted. The high is short lived, the comedown is terrible and its crazy expensive. I'll still use it maybe 3 or 4 times a year when I have extra money and want to have a somewhat good time. I usually expect too much and maybe that's a good thing, diminishes my chances of becoming dependent upon it.
