Coke Shot - Knowing Your Limits

OK i just had a iv shot of coke with a mate and i felt like i was gonna drop, i mean the rush was so intense i couldn't move for 10minutes, my head felt dizzy and tight and i could feel my heart thumping so hard and fast honestly i thought i was gonna seize up. My mate felt the stuff strong as well but he was in a better state than i was and he kept asking if i was OK but all i could mutter was a slurred 'yeah' and just sat there in a frozen state for the next 15minutes. It didn't help that we were sitting in a car on the street paranoid a cop was gonna pull up on us.

Now i've never ever felt coke this strong before, and honestly i still feel fucked up as i type this now. How close was i from ending up in the ER? My mate looked really worried when he saw me like that....

you would have lost your vision and puked if you were near overdosing. you probably just had a real good hit.

i still feel woozy though is that normal? just popped a couple valiums to help my BP come down abit.

yeah man coke lasts a few hours. watch out for the comedown. i dont do coke very often, but last time i injected i used rock and i had a mindblowing rush, but the comedown sucked.

edit: if you had a seizure your friend would have told you about it, and you'd probably realize it if you passed out and woke up on the floor.

seizures arent dangerous if you're not in a dangerous location. they just indicate your brain is overwhelmed in activity.

what did the od feel like?? I'm not discounting you, cause everyone's different, im just curious. i have a tendency to puke with coke for some reason if i get a really really strong rush.

Well my second one is the one I remeber most so will just explain that.

First I did my shot, right after pushing the plunger down I noticed the the metalic taste in my mouth after a shot of cocaine was much stronger then it should be and having OD'd before I knew what was about to happen so I throw my syringe in the closet so it doesn't hurt me during the seize.

I pick up my cell phone next to me but as soon as i try to start dialing 911 it shakes out of my hand, I lay back in my bed so I have less chance of hurting myself, my heart races and my bed begins to sound/shake like I just stuck a quarter in a bed at a cheap motel. I pant like a dog because im shaking so quick I look up at the fan on top of my bed spinning and it visually stopped spinning but I knew it was still spinning because i never turn it off.. Everything begins getting darker (maybe brighter actually.. can't recall that part too well), I completely black out for a unknown amount of time with my bedroom trashed and my body very sore, rug burn on my forehead.

We banged 0.25g in each shot, thinking the coke was going to be bunk but as soon as i got 10ml in my veins i could feel instantaneously the head rush, by the time i reached the half way point i was already buzzing hard, NOW THIS is when i should've stopped, taken syringe out and waited another 10 mins before banging again, but stupid me pumped the whole 30ml in one go. Never again!

I'm also curious as to what the OD felt like and how long did it last for?

I couldn't honestly tell you how long a IV cocaine OD lasts I'd guess about 15 minutes but I have never witnessed anyone ODing on it besides me and both times I was either blacking in and out or in a complete black out so I really couldn't tell you.

Sounds like you need to stop shooting alone, that's just asking for trouble.

I'm wondering if u shoot and popped some lyrica beforehand would it increase your seizure threshold. Because i've done this a couple of times and i didn't feel as fucked up as usual.

lol i been clean for over 6 months minus smoking crack twice since then... and i mostly shot with other people but id have a habit of pushing myself more when im alone because didn't want to be too geeked out around other people.. first time i OD'd it was with two friends.

I've just described my seizure in a recent post. I felt no urge to throw up either. Your description fits my experience. I didn't feel the metallic taste before the seizure but it was very noticeable after it. I think when you feel a seizure coming the best you can do is lie down (to avoid injury when you drop). From what I gather seizures have one thing in common: you lose control and fall. When the seizure hits your brain you're already falling down, you lose control totally and it's too late to do anything like try to cushion or direct your fall (your legs and arms shake and they're useless!). Imagine both your legs and both your arms get cut off, well that's about how manageable your body is from second one during a seizure. I think it's only in retrospect that you "see it coming". What you can do is assume a seizure might be under way with any "good" shot. My seizure was preceded by a rush that was strong, but not (yet) markedly stronger than many rushes I'd had. I didn't even "notice" the rush grew too strong, by that time I was already seizing. My recommendation would be: if you feel a stronger-than-average rush, lie down somewhere soft immediately (and throw away that needle!). Lying down for a false alarm will not ruin your rush anyway.

wow i got introduced to iv coke about 6 months ago. ever since then that's all i've been craving for, spend almost every paycheck on it but i think i've hit the point where this is actually taking over my life and i know i need to stop. I wish i had the willpower to stop, but right now it's just too good and it's brought out the devil in me.

I know exactly where you are I feel like it took my 20s away from me, all I can say is leave it alone without sounding preachy. You are never going to get back there, you know where I am talking about. What you are going to do is end trying so hard that something bad happens. Don't want to get heavy and I know it will not stop you but I regret it. All of it. Heart attacks and strokes are a real danger. My chest hurts writing this. Be careful, know your limits and don't push it more is not necessarily better. Do enough to get your head ringing but more will make your heart explode. Another suggestion, do opy's (non IV) and E pills, a good pill will give you a rush that makes shooting yay just seem...dirty. Oh and the paranoia...I have stood silently staring out my peephole looking for cops for hours in the dark, not pretty, anytime I want to go back I just think of that and my left arm going numb...sorry for the drag but I am just trying to reduce harm from one BL to another

You shoot up in a car on the side of the STREET?! ...and I thought the potheads with their stupid burn cruises were asking for trouble.

i have od'd once and came close 2 times. i think what may have helped or cause my od's is after doing very strong shot getting up and moving. which cause my vision to go shaky feel like im gonna throw up but didnt then vision go black fall to fround and not remember anything after that till waking up on the floor. but ohter time i came close to it knowing it was a big shot half way done it was already ringing hard but i jsut layed on bed not able to move and everything shaking. with my friend asking am i ok and me looking at my hands which were blurrying making it look like i had 4 and feeling them tingly numb and couldnt move them.

Once when I overdosed on IV cocaine, my hands went completely numb and I felt incredibly dizzy. Is this normal? Could this have been the onset of a seizure or a mild stroke?
