well i didnt feel like taking the mdma at all after 7-8hrs of a coke binge lol
felt like the comedown from pills aswell would be too much
felt icky from the coke for few hours... then dropped a couple valiums and felt quite nice
apparently the coke was quite good quality but jeez i couldnt justify australian prices

Im not 100% sure but an old school coke head told me ages ago the coke that turns u into a unsocialable zombie is cos the cocaine still containes alot of impurities and chemicals left over in makeing it, ie methanol and acids and cos its been cut to shit. I think benzocaine and lidocaine when snorted will cause those feelings. Cocaine is popular with some people cos you dont get the scatted feelng from it, all i would feel after being on coke for a night is the next morning

You need to think does this person benefit from telling me this, ie the person you bought it off. If the coke was good quality you def wouldnt be saying 'aparently' like your not sure, cos the first time snorting decend cocaine is like the first e, its the best feeling. Within afew mins you get this strong confidence/chatty/happy/carefree feeling through your body. If you have ever seen the movie 'wonderland' and they are snorting cocaine in the bathroom, then the chick gets a wind like sound through her body, its exactly like that...

Are magic mushrooms common in South America? In the same way that they are in SE Asia, ie. available at some bars where the owners pay off the police to turn a blind eye.

Also with San Pedro, is it often sold in a way that is readily ingestable or will I need to prepare it myself. I don't fancy the idea of drinking lots of nasty tasting sludge and having to hold back on spewing.

Also, did you ahve a chance to take part in an ayahuasca ceremony? What was it like (both the ceremony and the drug)?

When I had mushrooms (cubensis), it was always with friends outside of Bogotá. Cubes grow all year round in this particular location due to Colombia not having seasons.

I got a fourteen inch San Pedro cutting in Lima when I went to the beach one day - a man selling arts and crafts just had it with him so I had to prepare it myself. I have heard from friends that you can organise ceremonies with San Pedro in Cusco, but I can't verify this personally.

Which parts of South America do you want to visit? If you can't speak Spanish, Perú is definitely a better option when it comes to exploring the Amazon area, and from Iquitos you can travel by river into Ecuador, Colombia and Brazil.

I've booked my flight to Bogota first, then from Colombia probably go to Peru via Leticia, then Bolivia. We might go to Brazil but that will be dependent on money. We are also going to be going to central america, with Costa Rica been a definate, and if we have time go to Nica and Guatamala.

I've just started learning spanish, but my girlfriend whom I am travelling with can speak it pretty well (semi fluent).

I'll look into the San Pedro and Shrooms whilst there. is consuming and preparing san pedro for consumtion legal? To be honest psychedelic drugs are more my thing than stimulants are. However, it being south america and all where cocaine is cheap and quite pure, I am going to try some. I also like doing drugs now and then for the purposes of straight out hedonism, and cocaine is definately in this class.

Cuts with coke are a problem but benzocaine and lignocaine are centrally inactive. Besides, most of the solvents used in cocaine production are highly volatile and evaporate very easily. You'd be very unlucky to get a high amount of them in the final product.
