I just discovered these forums a week ago. Bluelight is a pretty cool place.
I've read Phrex's guide to IVing drugs but it is not very specific to coke. I'd appreciate some tips and if someone could explain the procedure pertaining to coke that would be cool.

Well...
IV coke is great, IMO, the only way to do coke at all...
Don't do too much, especially the first time. Test out the coke's strength by doing a line first. Then dissolve about 1/6 of a line (about a bump's worth, not too much....remember you can always do more later if you want...you dont want to OD and have a heart attack) in some water.
You can heat the solution if you want to ( I do because I like to sterilize my drugs) or just stir it around with the end of your rig. Then draw it on up through your cotton and you should be ready to go.
 
^^^ Does briefly heating a solution like that actually sterilize it? I've heard mixed reports on this. When you sterilize drinking water, it's recommended you boil it for at least 10 minutes....

why sterlize water? why not just use dh2o or saline?

You're correct- a little boiling while it's in the spoon is not enough- you'd need to keep the solution at a high temperature for a specific amount of time (minutes) to effectively sterilize.

This is a little off-topic, but since a new line is required quite frequently when snorting coke, is a new shot required (even more?) frequently? Wouldn't this use lots of synringes and damage veins pretty quickly?
 
First, DO NOT HEAT COCAINE WHEN PREPING FOR A SHOT! heating does nothing to "sterilize" it or any such thing - the only benifit is that heat can break down solids and help it all disolve a little easier, HOWEVER, I DO NOT recomend you use any heat with cocaine - you don't need to, cocaine will disolve in cool or room temperature water, so there is no need to heat it.. in fact, heating may actually help to disolve some solids that would have otherwise remained solid, then have been caught in the filter .. so all ya gotta do is add yer water to the powder, then stir - if it didn't disolve then it needs to be tossed out! Alright, we all learned something? Do you heat coke? No, you dont! in fact, use ice cold water for a really groovy feeling when you inject!
Now, for a dose - it would be a lot harder to actually "overdose" when yer shooting coke.. as long as yer not speedballing then you can take a fairly large shot - no matter how bad it is, you're better in a couple minutes... of course thats not to say you should boot 1/4g for yer first shot, but you can use, say, 1/3rd or even 1/2 of what you would snort - remember, you "get it" your first shot, everything after that is just trying to come close to it... so make that first one enough to make you puke, shit, then passout (if you're really lucky it wont be in that order) ..
So, here is the walkthrough...
1) Put coke in spoon, use about 1/3rd what you would snort.. not some pussy line, but thats 1/3rd of a GAGGER!
2) Draw up plenty of cool water, spray coke...
3) Stir good.. the cocaine will disolve, anything that doesn't is not coke!
4) filter that negro like you're life depended upon it ...
5) Push all air out of rig and then dip the needle in some alcohol, this can prevent brusing..
6) BANG!
7) Wait 2 minutes and then load up another! Remember, the cocaine can cause a constricting of the veins so you MUST ALTERNATE INJECTION SITES!

If you have rock-hard coke and you only ever use it for injecting anyways, it's a hell of a lot easier to just break it up with heat...you can let it cool down to a coldish temp (possibly even put the spoon on top of an ice cube?)and of course filter through cotton...and you'll still get most of the crap out.
