coke and jaw popping?

i have been insuffulating small amounts of coke several times a week for the past few weeks. just days ago I started to notice an unusual popping in my jaw when i chew food.
are these two things related in any way, and is using coke now contraindicated as a result?
 
It's just mucus from your cocaine-irritated sinuses causing your jaw to pop. I've had the same problem off and on for the 15 years I've done blow.
Don't worry until you start seeing blood when you blow your nose. That's nature's way of telling you to take a break (or you're getting really crummy shit). Otherwise, you'll wind up with a perforated septum like my friends and I have.

any of the docs out there care to comment on this? what would you recommend to prevent or otherwise inhibit this from happening (besides, of course, not chewing or opening my mouth...)
 
how does sinus mucus cause jaw popping? The popping would be stemming from the hinges of where the jaw opens and closes--that area near the ear. How does mucus interfere with the functioning?
this is of particular interest to me because i have TMJ and am studying the causes of it closely. Consistent jaw popping can be a sign of having TMJ.
Are you noticing any tightness in your jaw? can you jaw open wide without feeling limited in range?
 
im not noticing any regular jaw tightness at all. the popping seems to have gone away, but was definitely at its worst when i was pounding three or four times a week, maybe .5g at a time.
another acquaintance of mine, who uses far more than i could ever imagine, is always wagging his jaw in multiple directions. he seems to have his jaw permanently out of socket, and probably doesn't feel the pain because of how frequently he is high (either on coke or benzos or a combination).
it remains a concern, so input is still appreciated.
 
lately i am having the same problem...
the only explanation i can come up with that makes sense to me, is that i find i grind my teeth a little and clench my jaw when on blow for too long...this can cause TMJ syndrome and jaw popping. so i guess try to avoid the clenching...if u have a mouth gard, where it at night...thats my input
 
I can always feel my jaw-popping in my ears, if that makes any sense. To my knowledge, your eustacian tubes connect your ears to your sinuses. When my jaw "pops" I can actually feel fluid moving back there.
I have never had any problem with my jaw locking, or with opening my mouth wide (sometimes wide enough to stick my foot in...LOL). Hope this helps.
