"Michael (Mic) Todd, bassist of Coheed And Cambria, was arrested for armed robbery earlier tonight minutes before the band was suppose to open for Soundgarden at the Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA. According to the TMZ, Todd allegedly walked into a Walgreens in Attleboro, MA with a fake bomb. He threatened to blow up the store if he wasn’t given Oxycontin. Todd made off with six bottles of the pain pill before police tracked the cab he escaped in. He was arrested outside of the concert’s venue, and officially charged with armed robbery and unlawful possession of prescription narcotics."

They were just here yesterday!

He looks like a druggie, pretty sick style.

One of my favorite bassists by style alone.

That's pretty crazy, I'd have thought that members of high profile bands would usually have much better ways of getting their drugs.

Yeah obviously he has the money to just go out and buy some but no he decides to do this.... some people make me wonder. I hate this band anyways but he's screwed.

hah, he probably thought "im relatively famous, im the last person they would ever suspect! and ill take a cab!" And yea why on earth wouldnt he have some sweet ass connec for pills, or what im guessing is a dope habit. Its way easier to get oxy than dope in a new town id say. you know that the pharm has oxy, not everyone on the street has dope tho. But i guess you have to be crazy enough to actually go in to a pharmacy and threaten to blow the place up if you dont get pills lol...clearly this guy was crazy enough.

I've been to multiple shows (in smaller venues), where the band would be on stage and start asking the crowd for drugs... they aren't difficult to find.

Then again, he is a member of one of the worst bands of this generation, so maybe I'm not too surprised at his stupidity.

Right? Couldn't he have asked a local crew guy to find him a few Vicodin or a tab of morphene to get him through, if not Oxy? I'm sure at least one of the local or road crew guys had a taste for opiates.

ya people are getting a little nuts with how little they think before hitting the pharmacy

Have you ever been in opioid withdrawal?

He probably didn't want to go onstage kicking...

Think, the more someone who is opening up for Soundgarden has in terms of drug connections, the larger their habit must be to maintain.

^He should keep some freaking bupe on hand for these occasions or something! There's no legitimate reason to need opiates this badly, especially with the resources he must have had available. His income in itself should have made it possible to get Suboxone or methadone.

As a hardcore opiate addict myself I must rebuke your statement. There's every reason to need opiates this badly ;-p

I mean, at first trying heroin it was as if to think "hey, I've been in heroin withdrawal my entire life and no one told me?!" :-P
