I had drank some coffee in the morning and then after about 30 minutes I took ONE 0.5mg of Xanax XR or SR whatever they call it now.
Then after that about an hour later, I felt this lightheadedness feeling come on instantly and then felt my heart rate to beat very rapidly.
After drinking almost 2 liters of water and fluids, the effects worn off. But I was feeling scared when this happened.
Also, last night, I had drank one can of beer, but I don't know if that had to do with it as well.

Is this normal after mixing caffeine with Xanax?

Don´t worry about the coffee but about the Xanax. Are you benzo naive? The dosage is minimum imo.

I my daily dose is 0.5mg per day. But sometimes I take it in the morning for my social phobia and then at night to help me sleep.

What do you mean by benzo naïve?

Can the Xanax cause a bit of body shock meaning going from an upper (caffeine) to a downer (Xanax) very rapidly???
Can this be cause of this rush I had?

It may have been a sugar rush as well...Who knows.

If you have tolerance to benzos. I don´t believe 0,5 mg will do any harm. Try to rest, drink lots of fluids, orange juice would be perfect and be calm.

Sometimes after I take a xanax 0.5 MG , my tolerance is relatively low , I get a weird short burst of energy. This only happens when I take it in the morning

"Benzo naive" means that you dont have previous experience with benzos and you have zero or close to zero tolerance.

Im pretty much positive that the beer had nothing to do w it,maybe your coffee was too strong?
Idk,i have heard ppl getting heart racing by coffee, and some may experience weird reactions to benzos, but i havent heard anything bad about the particular combo..
