codine buzz not working anymore??

How can my best friend highten the effects of codine? he used to get a brilliant buzz off 2 x30mg pills, now he struggles to even feel anything after taking 300mg of codine by using CWE.
Hes heard you can drink high acidic drinks to heighten the effect but never actually tried it,
Any recommendations on how to get high again?

Take a break, tolerance is going to prevent you from feeling how you want to feel all the time.

does he have to take a break from all opiates to get that buzz back? he also takes 5x 50mg tramadol a night so that may be keeping his tolerance for codine high too??
