Codiene and food intake

When taking codiene through pill form is it possible for food to ruin the effects of the codiene? . Popcorn?.. Liquids?.. Meat or bread? Or is better off not eating at all until the effects have subsided?
 
Hi Murphyell. It's better to eat a little meal before taking an opiate, as otherwise you could be nauseous. On the other side, eating too much isn't good either.
 
So which way do you think would be more enjoyable crushed and wrapped in toilet paper then swallowed or just taken in pill form? Anyone had any ecperience with this? If so how did things turn out ? And i dont think i will be snorting because i have bad mucus build up..
 
Please do not snort codeine. Swallow the pill(s) as it is (as they are).
 
Have some food in your stomach before dosing. You can crush and parachute your pill, especially if it is time-released.

What dosage are you planning on taking? An allergy test is recommended before jumping into a full dose, just to be safe. After that, you can test the waters with 80-100mg and work your way up from there.

Oh, and do not sniff codeine.

If the pills contain APAP or aspirin or ibuprofen, you should probably do a CWE and drink the water that ensues. ESPECIALLY if you're using T2's or some other version that only has 8-15 mg of codeine per pill but a full dose of an NSAID.
 
^ True. I had forgotten that because here pure codeine hcl is OTC.
 
Does anyone know anything about how Anxiety affects codiene? I just took mine and im having some serious anxiety not from the pills but from being around people like social Anxirety.. Do you think that could cause the high to not work?
 
Anxiety generally ruins opiates for me - though if the dose is large enough I can't give a fuck.

Just go somewhere with a close friend and relax.
 
If you've got an empty stomach it should hit you faster. My tack was always to start cooking as soon as I drank a cwe, 20-30 minutes later food would be done and the codeine would be kicking in. A little bit of food seems necessary otherwise your stomach can go a bit sideways, but if you eat too much before hand I've had doses that never seemingly made it through the food.

As a reference, a light sandwich beforehand, generally adds about 15-20 minutes on effects being felt for me.
 
I always make sure I haven't eaten for 4 hours before I drink my CWE , for best absorption . And i try not to eat for a few more hours but I always smoke 30 mins in , so I have insane opiate and weed munchies within an hour or two .
