Opioids codiene a few hours after drinking alcohol

just wanted to know is it safe having some codiene now after ive been drinking earlier on today?

i had a couple of pints and a couple of glasses of wine between 1:30 and 4:30, its now 9:20, i dont feel drunk at all, just the start of a hangover.

thinking about my normal dose of 300mgs, please answer quickly! cheers
 
so there is a risk?

anything lower than 300mg doesnt really get me "there" if you know what i mean
 
That shouldnt be a problem. Mixing opiates with alcohol is always a gamble but codeine is a pretty weak opiate and beer and wines are fairly weak alcoholic beverages. if you feel uncomfortable about the mix then dont take it or taking into account the alcohol, drop your dose to....200mg? I dont think either way that youd be in danger respiratory depression, more likely a vomit fest if you dont react well. make sure to sleep on your side with your head slightly elevated incase of nocturnal vomiting and you should be fine.
 
To be honest, if you need 300mg of codeine to get high then it might be safer to step up to a slighty stronger opiate. When you havent had alchol of course.lol

yeah ill drop the dose abit to be on the safe side, i always smoke weed and probs take a promethazine too so i never have vomiting issues.

cant get hold of anything stronger and i dont think i want to! long slippery slope with opiates like, il just stick to the weak shit

dont get me wrong a low dose codiene is nice, but its not euphoric. all depends what you want out of it i guess
 
Exactly. I agree fully.

I use it to "maintain", not to get high.
And from what I have experienced from other opiates I'm happy to just "maintain" with 60mg of codeine 2 to 3 times a day.
 
I think its more to do with individual body chemistry. Ive been on codeine for years as im a pain patient. Started on 30mg of codeine and take 120mg tops through out the day and 60mg dihydrocodeine in the evening when my pains at its worst. Never felt the need to raise my codeine dose ever, dihydrocodeine could be a different story altogether but im careful and the docs only give me so many a month. Dihydrocodeine is a lovely opiate, very smooth and 'noddy' but not too bad in the nausea front, much less then with codeine. Be careful with the promethzine, its a strong cns depressant and the alcohol and codeine are aswell. Likely wont be an issue but always good to remember that you can put it in but cant take it out!lol let me know how you get on, hate to think I might have gave bad advice.lol
 
im still yet to try dihydrocodiene, it only comes in tablets with caffeine added OTC, dont fancy taking like half a g of caffeine like, a strong coffee/energy drink makes me anxious.

i never knew prometh was a strong cns depressant like, some people take like 100mgs with a high dose codiene, i dont get why like, i only take 1 pill 20mgs, i dont think its something that if you take more it will be any better
 
Well people taking that kind of dose of promethazine are looking to get the 'nod' effect from weaker opiates but its a dicey game to play as they both depress the cns, thats why they make you sleepy but having two cns depressants doesnt always mean double effect. In the weird world of brain chemistry it could mean three or even four times the effect, way more then you thought it would and alcohol is the king of this effect. Dihydrocodeine with caffeine is rare here in uk. It with paracetamol in otc preps but I get the pure dihydros 30mgs. Where are you based?

its the price that put me off haha canonly buy paramol cant you?

how much dihydrocodiene would i need for a nice high, if 300mgs codiene is what i use to get nicely high?
 
Paramol is the otc version of dihyos with paracetmol and after cwe'i.ng it you will need between 60 or 90mg fot the first time. The highis completly different with it and my opinon its alot better,much closer the tghe bigger opiate but not quite. Strong.

just took roughly 175mgs of codiene, the late night chemist was shut so only had half a box of co-codamols :/
 
That sucks that you have extract that much paracetemol at one.lol I get both of mine at 30mgs each. Once you try the DHC you wont look back!! :-D
