Codeine vs. Hydrocodone

So thanks to the government and the rescheduling of hydrocodone my doctor has given me Tylenol 4 instead to 10mg norco.

Can anyone tell me how these compare both pain management wise and recreationally. Like how many codeine equal 1 norco?
 
Codeine sucks ! Period. Thats a decent drop in strengh , 10mg hydrocodone to codeine, this new scheduling of hydro is gonna cause a lot of problems.
 
The Tylenol 4s are 60mg of codeine. How many would equal the strength of 1 10mg norco
 
Pretty sure 1mg of hydrocodone ìs equal to 5mg of codeine, making the codeine equal to 12mg of hydrocodone. But, always a but, the codeine is a different type of high, and may make you sick on your stomach and/or sleepy. Don't know how much hydrocodone you take at one go but you should probably start out with low doses to see what effects it has on you. And yeah, it sucks for a lot of people whose doctors may be scared by the DEA into not prescribing it any longer. I'm thinking the DEA will only be satisfied once ALL opiate meds are Scheduled 2 drugs. ?

Hello! I'm 16 5'11 and weight 135, not to long ago I boxer fractured my pinky knuckle not too long ago, and everyday it hurts.. Probably 4 out of 1-10.. All day.. I did not have surgery on my hand but it hurts constantly.. I had left over hydrocodone from my presscription and that tends to help a lot. Please let me know what I shuold do..
 
Go back and tell the doc the T3's aren't cutting it. You won't look like a seeker if you bring in your bottle and still have most left

What was ur final decision did u keep them ? Personally codien is fun and all .. Or if ur going through serious withdrawal or even for pain and u pop some codiene but only if uhave other opes .codiene is not strong and hydro is more stronger and prefferd
 
Yeah I am take ng them. It takes 3-4 in one dose to help. And they seem to be much harder on the stomach. Not much help for pain.
 
that's crazy that hydrocodone got rescheduled. i mean, what effect does that really have though. other than for pain patients like OP who are getting fucked. sorry to hear that, Dystopia35. i don't know about for pain, but recreationally codeine does not compare.

30s have been schedule II forever and while they are expensive, there is like infinite of them. where as i've only seen real, career dealers selling vicodin a handful of times. vicodin is sold by college kids to college kids, and like at 100mgs a time. no real supply. when people got fucked up or had surgery, they'd always get 20 or 30 count with one refill. guess that refill is gone now. bbye.
 
I'm sure the new hydrocodone formulations with more hydro and no apap had something to do with the rescheduling of hydrocodone. The DEA probably figured if people could get up to 1.5 grams of hydro in a script of only 30 pills it was time to bump it up a class. I don't think this will help anyone in anyway but that's my theory.
