Is it always a good idea to take an anithistamine expecially with high doses of Codeine or does the actuall side effects of histamine really only create the "itchiness" & no other side effects?

I don't usually take an antihistamine with codeine but after reading about histamine on Wikipedia, maybe it would eliminate alot of the side effects.
And, as a bonus, many people clain the sedating Antihistamine can potentiate Codeine or atleast syneergize & give extra sedation.
If u do take an antihistamine, which one do u take and why do u think it's the best?
Just found an old pack of Fexofenadine, don't know if this will do the trick. It's an H1 histamine receptor antogonist which I've noticed pretty much ALL the common antihistamines are a group of so I'm assume Codeine effects the H1 receptor!

take a look at the antihistamine like here if ud wish. If u refer to the side effects quoted about from the H1 histamine recptor u, like me may consiter aklways taking an antihistamine with Codeine expecially in the high doses
