Opioids Codeine testing dose, for allergy

Hi

How much Codeine would I have to take, to test for allergy?
Would 18 mg. be enough?

What dose of Codeine does each tablet contain that you have?
I would recommend taking 1 tablet and see how that effects you. If you get a massive Histamine release then make sure you have some Antihistamines at hand.

Is there any particular reason that you're afraid of being allergic to it?

each pill contain 9,6 mg. Codeine+some amount of ASA. So I'm have to do an extract. If i take more than a couple.

No, but I have read that about 7% percent are allergic to Codeine. So if I took 300 mg. with allergy, then the reaction would be... well, not too fun, i guess.

I just want to point out that the first time you are exposed to something you are allergic to, no reaction at all happens. It is this first exposure that sets in motion the creation of antibodies which result in subsequent reactions. Incubation periods for these antibodies to become active can be upwards of a few weeks, depending on the specific antibody in question.

OK. I guess a testing dose, would be useless then. I have, though, taken some small amounts of codeine before. Through poppy-tea.

Anyway. I have some antihistamines (Promethazine) I could take, if I have allergy... Or if the itch gets too unbearable
