Codeine - Semi-experienced - My codeine nightmare

I find the histamine release from codeine increases exponentially with the speed at which the drug kicks in. I've had a similar massive histamine reaction twice with codeine, and both times it happened when I took my normal dose on an empty stomach. If I eat a sandwich beforehand to slow down absorption, I'm fine.

I'm pretty baked so i dunno if I missed this in the thread but did anyone notice buddy took 315mgs of caffeine which in someone sensitive to it would cause all the symptoms he listed.

even if so that would be a joke b/c i drink like a six pack of monsters daily. lol just saying even if you were right t3= codeine+apap ya thats right NO CAFFEINE

oh, in Canada tylenol 1,2 and 3 all have caffeine, thought it was the same in the states.

400mg is the ceiling dose where you will not get higher, just experienc unpleasant histamine reaction.
What exactly do you mean by this and where are you getting this number from? This number changes every time I see someone mention it. I am able to feel a difference in doses 300mg to 2000mg+ (I have a huge tolerance) . But like I have said, I get no major histamine reaction, I've only ever been slightly itchy, which feels good to scratch.

Claims about the supposed "ceiling effect" of codeine doses seemed to rest on the assumption that high doses of codeine saturated CYP2D6, which prevented further conversion of codeine to morphine, which is simply incorrect.

I asked Mr Blonde (someone who has also used as much as I do) about this and his reply was "Think of it like the enzyme deficiency that stops some people from getting anything (euphoria, pain relief) out of codeine. It doesn't effect everyone."

jackie jones though is correct in saying that there is no point going higher due to the histamine reaction most people will suffer.

I'm on 1600mg right now and I can certainly feel the difference between this and the 1200mg I took yesterday. Also I've already said it but like to mention it all the time when talking about high doses (Doses this high are not something I advise anyone do, unless they know the drug, have the experience and have done the research and are well prepared).

I don't claim anything here is correct, I am just sharing what I have found and what I have personally experienced.

i agree seith. people pull numbers out of their ass or they see it on some post and then take it as "fact."
