codeine pills - inactive ingridients, is it safe?

Hey guys, I was wondering, is it safe to take big amounts of codeine phosphate pills, containing inactive ingridients: "Starch, Gelatin, Lactose, Talc, Elcema & Magnesium Stearate"?

Codeine has a natural ceiling starting at around 400mgs, take more than that an you will likely just experience a shitty histamine reaction instead of a high.

Yes, the pills are safe to swallow.
 
My dog wouldn't want to go anywhere above the 200 ceiling, as my dog hasn't done codeine yet (except 30 to check for allergic reactions).
 
Perfectly safe.
We don't use SWIM-type stuff here btw so unless your dog really is spectacularly intelligent you can just refer to yourself.

The main worry with codeine pills (other than taking too much ofc, which I trust you're being careful with anyway) is if they're mixed with APAP because it's unsafe to take more than 800mg of that at a time.

If it's your first time I'd recommend you take maybe 170mg, otherwise you're risking feeling quite sick during/afterwards.
 
The pills are containing only Codeine Phosphate & the inactive ingridients above.
The thing that got my dog got worried about, is that it is quite known that you can od on the inactive ingridients aswell..

Also, my dog is quite intelligent, and i myself always thought that self-incrimination is always a bad idea.

As I said, you'll be fine with those pills, and you don't need to worry about OD'ing if you only take something along 170mg and don't combine it with other CNS depressants such as alcohol, benzos or other opiates.

Anyways, i'll probably pop some lyrica aswell, worked well with Oxys.
 
I would take less than 170mg. Especially if you're going to combine it with Lyrica. I don't know what your tolerance to opioids is but codeine is pretty unpredictaable from person to person. I would start with like 90mg. Depending on how the 30mg you took before affected you and if you have any tolerance to opioids?

And if you're also adding Lyrica you need to take a lower dose of codeine than you normally would so I would not just go full-bore with 170mg + some Lyrica.

Well i actually haven't counted cross-tolerance yet.

My usual is 10-15 oxy with 150 lyrica, im also on a week long break.
So i'm guessing 170 would be alil big. I've actually taken 40 mgs, they havent affected me in anyway (except for passing my cough, haha). I'm guessing a 100 with 75 lyrica would be a safe start? Altho concidering the one week break, perhaps a better idea would be a bigger codeine dosage without any lyrica?
 
Do you mean adding 100mg on top of the 40 you already took? The "equivalent" of 10-15mg oxy could be anywhere from 50-300mg codeine depending on the person, it varies SO much, and since you have had a week break I would really just try the codeine without the Lyrica to get a feel for it.
 
If you've never done codeine I would definitely take it on its own first, without Lyrica. Idk, the first time I took codeine it wsa about 230mg without any tolerance and it was a bit too much cuz it made me sick, which is why I'd recommend about 170 if you're not combining it with anything else. But I guess it's true you may as well start with less in case you're more sensitive to it or something. 170 certainly woulnd't be dangerous, only risk is you might feel nauseous.
 
Meant taking 100 mg w/ lyrica, not 140 mg. Low dosage lyrica haven't ever seem to potenate the oxys that much (just a little tiny bit), so i thought i'd pull a small lyrica dosage, alongside quite the minimal codeine dosage which is around the 100 to my understanding.

How much would you suggest to go on without the lyrica? I'm completely about to keep it on the safe zone (concidering i already took the 40 to check for allergic reactions), and ya know, i'm concidering even nausea as an overdose, as it isn't the desired effect...

On the other hand, wasting on an almost uncertain to have any effect dose of 100 would be a shame, thats why i thought i'd drop in some lyrica aswell..
 
^As I've mentioned, I recommend 170mg without the Lyrica. I highly doubt that would make you sick. You may be vaguely nauseous but that's to be expected the first time you do codeine anyway if you want to take enough to get any kind of desireable effects. If you're worried take maybe 150mg, but under that it might be a pretty underwhelming experience.
 
Ok so i gave it a go, 150mg lyrica with a poor amount of 75 codeine. Again, i started small to make sure i wont get any nasty side-effects, concidering i had a week off.

So, except giving me a little of what you can call a 'panic attack', it didn't seem to affect me much in any positive way atleast. Thinkin of another go, this time without lyrica and perhaps a bigger codeine amount?

My understanding is that adding upon the intake, e.g. starting on 90 mg, then adding another 50 mg after half an hour would not work with codeine?

Suggestions?
 
P.S.

it also gave me a horrible taste in my mouth, like, off the hook horrible, aswell as ciggs tasted like death..
