Codeine or butalbital alergy?

My first real experience with Codeine was with Fiorocet w/Codeine (Butalbital, Caffeine, APAP, and Codeine). Now, I had done hydrocodone and oxycodone many times before. But after taking the Fiorocet, I ended up with a rash accross my back which lasted for around 4-5 days. From that moment on I just sort of assumed I was alergic to Codeine (as many people are). Now last night I had my first real experience with black tar opium, which of course contains morphine and codeine, among other things. Now, its the day after and I have no signs of any type of rash like I had when I took the Fiorocets. Would it be safe to assume that I was really just alergic to the butalbital in the Fiorocets and not the codeine? Any help would be appreciated, thanks,
