codeine high dose?

ive had 300 and 400mg doses of codeine and they had 0 effect on me

so i want to try 600-700mg to make sure im not deficiant in that enzyme that breaks down codeine

are there any risks to this?

btw i would perform a CWE

i would not do that at all you would have a severe histamine reaction and bug yourself out.

your tolerance is shot. so codeine past 4 hundo is a no go..

i mean you could try up to 6.. but i wouldnt recommend it. and definitely not 700

ive done over 1000mg over the course of a 24 hours, but thats 24 hours. its in and out of your system in 3 hrs.

Do you use other opioids? If so, what's your tolerance like?

Even if you are a 'poor metabolizer', the majority of the effects come from codeine-6-glucuronide and not the converted morphine (more information).

The most likely explanation is that either you're very inexperienced with a naturally high tolerance and just don't recognize a lot of the effects or you're too experienced and you're tolerance to full agonist opioids is too high to get appreciable effects from 300-400mg of codeine.

ive never used any other opiates other than tramadol (dont use them in conjunction because of lowered seizure threshold and other interactions)

maybe ill try 500mg and have lots of GFJ prior to consumption

Often times when people who are used to drugs like cannabis or psychedelics and try drugs such as opioids or benzodiazepines, they are disappointed because they expected something completely different.

You don't get itchy at all from 300-400mg codeine?

not at all, and ive enjoyed benzos thoroughly in the past so the slight pleasures of drugs arent lost on me

I found it took me 10-15 tries with codeine to start to appreciate the subtle effects. Kind of like with marijuana/speed, it takes a few tries to become accustomed to the effects, at least for me. I'm sure this isn't true for everyone and I can certainly feel stronger opiates on the first try, but maybe this has something to do with it, as 400mg of codeine would be pretty nice for me.

Other than that, your CWE may be getting lower yields than expected.

I have a steady supply of Codeine , and have been taking it for around 6 months, not a big drug user, just a little Cannabis (just taken 300mg Dehydrocodeine) and a litte tramadol, and i have to agree with RobotRipping, that subtle feeling of being in a good mood for no reason, very nice.

The liver can't convert more than 400mg of codeine to the 10% equivalent of morphine at one time. So if you go above 400mg you are wasting it, that is the ceiling dose. Doses above will not produce anymore appreciable effects.

^please read the link I provided above... any 'ceiling' is not as concrete as "400mg for everyone" and the majority of the effects are NOT due to the conversion to morphine but the metabolism to codeine-6-glucuronide. Only 5% of the codeine is converted to morphine.
