Codeine for Acid Comedown?

Probably going to trip within in the next few days, recently had bronchitis and was prescribed Codeine with Robotussin (Liquid). When I took it at night, it would knock me out (about 2 tablespoons).
This would probably help me come down and finally sleep after the long trip. Anyone else ever try it, advise not to, or have an opinion.

Just hold on a second -- I need to clarify something..
You got prescibed both Codiene AND Robotussin?
or are they both in the same bottle?
I'm just asking, because the last thing you would need when coming of acid is DXM, which is pretty much in all Robotussin syrups..
Just a thought.
 
if he doesn't go over the DXM threshold then that shouldn't be a problem..
 
Something I've never understood is the so called Acid comedown. I admit I've felt scattered/tired etc. But when a trip is over I usually feel nothing but contentment and a love for life.
 
You are a lucky bastard... That is good cough syrup! Well, I've taken a medium dose of shrooms with tussionex which is another codiene cough syrup and it was one of the best trips I've had. Zero anxiety. Taking it toward the end of the acid trip would be good since acid lasts so much longer than shrooms and you wouldn't want it to wear off in the middle of the trip. When cough syrup wears off I tend to get irritated easily. Have fun!
 
Yeah it's Robotussin AC. No DXM, but with Codeine. Should have clarified that. I was thinking I don't wanna mix any DXM with Acid. lol. I'll probly only take like 3 tablespoons, this stuff is killer for getting to sleep. It relaxes your body for 3-4 minutes, few minutes later your out.
And I DO feel in love with the world after an acid comedown, I just get really annoyed by the visuals after 9-10 hours, I want to close my eyes and sleep.
I just wanted to make sure it was safe. Thanks guys.

Actually, for myself, cough syrup with codiene (Promethazine with codiene usually) isn't near enough to put me out. Then again, for some reaon all opiates seem to keep me awake all night. After a trip, if I want to sleep, benzos are the way to go. A couple of 10mg Valium or some Xanex put me right out, but if the syrup is enough for you go for it.
