Codeine Experimentation

Hello all,

One day I got a bottle of cough syrup with codeine; the ingredients are just codeine phosphate, ephedrine, and some sort of antihistamine. A bottle has 200mg of codeine phosphate.

The first time I tried this, he mixed the entire bottle with some 7up and sipped throughout the night. It was mz first opiate experimentation and Swim experienced the greatest euphoria I ever felt.

Over time I stopped consuming full bottles to ration his supply. I would sip half a bottle sometimes and still feel the effects, but rarely experienced the euphoria. As time passed it seemed the effects were becoming less enjoyable, as I would no longer feel any euphoria and simply get very tired and get the urge to sleep. I also started to experience very bad hangovers; I could literally sleep 16 hours straight, even off anywhere from 30-50mg of codeine, and was extremely groggy the morning after, where it took a LONG time to wake up/feel sober. No euphoria, no high, just exhausted.

So basically I started out ingesting full bottles of codeine and enjoying the experience; but after a while, when I started decreasing my doses, the enjoyable effect went away and was replaced by exhaustion and extreme grogginess the next day. I am a relatively large man, at around 170lbs.

Why could this be? I can no longer enjoy what I used to do, and it literally doesn't make sense to him that such a small dose is having such a large effect on him.

<SNIP>Asking if the drugs you have are recreational is not allowed. Do the research necessary to at least ascertain if there are any recreational effects, make the decision yourself as to whether you will use it or not, and then come back to use with pointed questions on dose, combinations, side effects, etc.<SNIP>

Thanks for reading.

Here is what is happening to you.

1. You are getting tolerant to the codeine.

2. You are taking a lot of antihistamine and ephedrine.

3. The effects of the antihistamine and the ephedrine are now overtaking the codeine.

4. You can no longer enjoy this syrup... Unless you like being uncomfortable.

You might mess around and have a seizure. I recommend you get a formulation that is suitable to abuse.

the amount of antihistamine in a bottle of cough syrup is more than enough to knock you out for a long time, that's why.

your body will build tolerance to both the ephedrine, and the codeine. the ephedrine is what keeps you awake in that cocktail, and the combination of codeine and ephedrine will make you "feel good". but now your body isn't effected by these drugs, just the antihistamine, so you just get knocked on your ass.

you need to take a long break from drinkin syrup if you want to enjoy it again.
