So not including opium or poppy based opiates, what are peoples opinions on codeine and codeine based substances?
I have had psychological issues for years, hence the medication prescriptions. I take promathezine and codeine as I get them both on script and they are stronger than the standard syrup, not that you can get it here in N.Z anymore (pherghan and codeine mixed) I have the tablets of both and find four of each would really help for sleep but i need to be up early so i limit it too 60mg of codeine and 50mg promathezine instead of 120-200mg codeine and 100mg promathezine tabs
I am trying to wtihdraw from lorazepam under my shrinks advice so basically I have no option however my doctor is kind, she often prescribes opiates for me for what was originally back pain from the c section I had. It started with oxycodone which was amazing stuff but it made me feel giddy and gave me insomnia however i am not allowed it anymore so I get codeine on prescription with free repeats :D so i take four tabs usually and then sometimes another four at night once bubs is asleep. If I do this then it helps the lorazepam withdrawal but i get itchy and do not want to take promathezine through the day as i have to be up and about when daughter gets home from pre-school. Anyway yeah, is it just counter acting do you think?
subsituting one addictive drug for another??
