you'll be ok

That's good to know. But I'm still confused...

I thought we established that it is harmless for a non addict to use sub twelve hours after using codeine. But now you're still saying that taking codeine and then taking sub will create imediate WDs... What's the poop?
Let's get the story straight, please

I was somewhat mistaken when I said that non-dependent users can't go into withdrawal. They can get very intense withdrawal like symptoms for a short period of time if they are high on an opiate and take another opiate with a much stronger affinity. The original high is instantly killed resulting in some strong but short lasting unpleasant symptoms. In the case of bupe you will then get high off of it but not until after a little pain.

With respect to codeine and using bupe 12 hours later, most of the codeine high has already worn off so you should be okay.

If first taking a small amount of sub/bupe and then topping that off with more sub, could that lead to such discomfort?
Maybe it is just because the high is so intense, but sometimes on sub, I feel a little sick, almost like WDs...

I know this thread is like 4 days old by now, but if the OP hasn't found it yet he ought to check out the Suboxone/Buprenorphine mega-thread as this is a very common topic with bupe. I believe the waiting period is addressed in the second post in that thread.
