I've been using methadone since September and i'm currently on 23ml's per day. Normally I take a dose in the morning and go to the chemists to pick up an extra dose for the next morning. However, yesteday I forgot to pick up the extra and now I'm stuck having to trek across town tomorrow morning and every morning for the next month feeling sick and full of anxiety.
I ended up on methadone because I couldn't deal with anxiety in the first place so I'm going to find it really difficult getting across town without feeling like shit.
I wondered if I chose to miss a dose how bad would I likely feel. I feel pretty rough when I wake up in the mornings as it is. Alternatively, I was thinking that if I halfed the dose and took that over the two days I'd be able to resume the routine of having the extra dose to take home. If I chose to (although I most likely won't) to top up with some codeine would that have any affect?
I know this probably sounds laughable but i've been through full blown opiate withdrawal before and I really don't want to experience it again even if it is just for day. I hate living with anxiety and the feelings of withdrawal however minor amplify it so much so that leaving house becomes an even bigger ordeal than it already is.
Anyway, if anyone could help or has any advice i'm all ears.
