codeine and kratom

So after a few months of absolutely no use of any opioids aside from kratom i've been dabbling with codeine here and there as my tolerance to everything is basically at zero and have been able to find some enjoyment in it. have never taken codeine with kratom and was thinking it may be worth a try, and while i'm aware that the combination is relatively safe at moderate-low doses i'm wondering if there are any ill side effects that might come with the combination? i vaguely remember reading something on another forum months ago when i first started moving from opiates to just kratom about the two mixing badly, but not positive entirely and can't seem to find the thread. any thoughts?

i'de also be taking 50mg of dph with the two for nausea/potentiation, i'de imagine this wouldn't make much difference aside from some added sedation, might as well mention it though. cheers.

ah shit thought i forgot something, in most cases i'll take around 180-200mg, with kratom and a little diphen i was thinking more like 120

Forget the Kratom. Since you're used to codeine doses up to 200 mg then I suggest you up the dose of codeine by itself to 300 mg and take that without no kratom or nothing. Do that and report back to me. It will be an experience you will never forget.

When I started using opiates (12 years ago), it was codeine that I got high off of first and I loved it. I started with doses like 60 mg (twice I did that) and the first time I didn't feel much. The second time I felt a little something. But then I said fuck it - I took 9 Tylenol #3's (that's 270 mg) and man the high was like nothing else in the world. The next time I did 300 mg and it was even better. I still remember that high 12 years later - it was one of the best I've ever had - and later I became an IV heroin user, but I still remember that first codeine high.

It's not a good mix. The codeine heaviness kinda ruins all the good aspects of the kratom and they both play on difference parts of nausea at the same time. Clean kratom on an empty stomach and then once it wears off you can extended the high into a more sedated codeine experience.

LoL! We all remember our first experiences - those are the experiences that turn us into what we are now - addicts. Codeine now does nothing but make me itch like crazy, hydrocodone and oxycodone don't work anymore either unless I take massive doses, heroin and morphine still had me going, but after 12 years my tolerance was so high I just couldn't get high no more. Now I'm on methadone.
Never thought that codeine experience would bring me all the way here.

haha wonderful quote. ya i started chipping away with codeine when i was like 15, first time walking home after my buddy had done a cwe on a large palm full of tylenol 1's was the first nail in the opiate coffin for me. was the first conscious time using opiates and it fucking blew me away, i can still vividly remember the brightness of streetlights on the bus ride home...ahhh fucking lovely haha, ok most definitely kratom time. thanks for all the help, glad i waited before going ahead with the combo. much appreciated.

ya i don't typically go up to 300mg lately but i've done it,i agree, it's pretty wonderful. the reason i haven't done it more often is because after a few years of occasional brushes with hydrocodone and codeine i quickly got turned on to oxy and stopped thinking about codeine completely for obvious reasons, after i ended up, not horribly sick but just impulsively taking the shit constantly, i got turned onto kratom, fell in love with it and just haven't been dabbling all that much since.

i also don't go up to 300mg generally because i'm using over the counter ac&c's and i'm annoyingly sensitive to cafeine, almost to the point that if i'm taking over 20 it makes the experience counter productive and i end up with rls for hours when i'm trying to sleep after the effects of the codeine have worn off.

if i could regularly get my hands on t3's i would dabble with much higher doses than i do with the ones i generally have access to.
