Codeine and CWE Megathread - The long awaited!

Today I performed CWE on 10 Nuroforan pills. Did it for 128mg of codeine. I've never did that much codeine before. I report a slight warm feeling 30 minutes after dose. Lasted 15 minutes or so. I also take 10mg methadone 4xday. Its too low of a dose...I think, to block the codeine. Maybe my tolerance is too high to feel the affects of the codeine. I have 15 or so more Nurofan pills left. Any ideas out there as to extract ANY kind of buzz? Im on methadone for chronic pain. My tolerance to the methadone is getting higher cause my pain is creeping back. Been on this dose for over a month. Dont go back to mr Dr for 3 weeks. Thought codeine might help. D'oh....guess I was wrong!!!
 
Nurofen Plus is probably the worst brand to do an extraction on, next time I would suggest panafen plus if you want to use ibu pills or my preference which is chemists own panadeine type formulations. 128mg of codeine really isn't a large dose, even for a good number of opiate naive people that wouldn't induce a strong effect. 10mg of methadone is equivalent to 250mg of codeine according to this calculator. So you are using basically double the dose of codeine you took 4 times per day, 40mg of methadone might not be enough to block the effect of codeine but your opiate tolerance due to regular methadone use probably means even substantial doses of codeine wont have a great effect.

You never know 100% though, I remember reading ages ago that methadone and morphine were some of the least cross tolerant opiates, and codeine is metabolised into morphine so there is some hope you could get a decent effect. I would probably try in the realms of 250-300mg next time, I would suggest more, but given that you are on 40mg of methadone per day as well there is a possibility they could potentiate each other. If this isn't enough to do it you can titrate your way up to 600mg or so and see if this yields better resuls. I would be pretty surprised if you get a great deal from codeine though honestly.
 
Thanks man. I doubt it will either. Im gonna CWE the rest of these puppies tomorrow and call it on the codeine. I tried codeine obviously cause its easy to get. My pain Dr is one of those Dr's who hates breakthru pain meds. He says the addiction could start with them and he is prob right. In 2 years Ive had these terrible blood clots in my groin that alnost block blood flow. Very painful. Nothing works as good for my pain thank Dilaudid but my Dr says that not a long term med, like methadone. So, I walk around in 5 out of 10 in pain then every other monyh when my tolerance rises to the methadone, it shoots up to 8 or 9 and I cant really walk. Sucks. Got excited when I dicovered CWE and ordered some Nurofan Plus. Oh well. Ill keep trying and any help would be great. Thanks!
 
Meh, I've tried to make a new social life at my University and it seems everybody already has friends - so I quit, honestly. People go out of their way to be away from me and I have no clue why. So, as a result, I just give up on socialising and, because of this in conjunction with my University course which won't get me a job, I don't expect to go anywhere in life.

So true. So often a codeine session just does not work at all. No associated euphoria or just anything that you'd expect from an opiate, but I still find value in it because I force myself to sit, relax and still my mind and enjoy the codeine. And thats where the psychological addiction can come into it because you feel you need the codeine to be able to properly relax and still the mind.

Its about being strong and figuring out what works for you.
 
I started with 4 nurofen plus was feeling the same as 400mg now days CWE-d. Ive never nodded so hard from 600mg when I first started. Was amazing.
 
Codeine for me is an undeniable 'pleasent'
feeling. It's like morphine just much much
weaker. Methadone on the other hand doesn't
really make me feel anything other than it stabilizes
my emotions somewhat, in the 40-60mg range.....
 
I tried Panadeine extra for the first time today, and I noticed an actual high similar to what I used to get from Nurofen Plus. It could be that Nurofen Plus brand generally suck, so I'm going to stick with this band for a while. However, it cost me [some money], I don't suppose there's any cheaper brands I could use, like Chemists' own?

Ive used Chemist own ones, Ive tried nearly all of the pilsl available I keep going back to the same one. Not sure how you guys can have the paracetamol ones:S Tastes so so bad.
 
How much are the Chemists' own generally, though?

EDIT: Sorry, didn't think it would be a problem considering it's legal.

^ No prices; the generics like Chemists' Own are generally significantly cheaper than brand names though. Prices vary place to place too. I've always found panadeine the most expensive.

I'd suggest you use panafen plus, they're the easiest to dissolve, and even though they have less codeine per pill than panadeine extra, because they cost less, you can actually get more codeine, for less money.
 
i have been doing a few cwe's lately, seem to have finally perfected the method, not that its complicated

panadeine extra whilst pricier are far more effective in my experience, obviously they contain more codeine but they seem to dissolve better and i always get a clearer liquid when i just use panadeine extra, or maybe i am imagining things (quite possible)

the first 45 minutes once codeine kicks in is possibly one of my most pleasant drug experiences

a certain obvious large chemist chain sells them a few bucks cheaper, they will not sell them to me anymore without a doctors letter though, eventhouh i only bought them 4 times in like 6 months, they check id when u purchase them, unless its the actual pharmacist that distibutes them to you
i am sure its because its where i collect my valium script, they see druggo, they are quite correct i guess

Yeah I've used panafen plus as well, but whenever I use it I end up with at most half the water as a result. And it ends up just a big ball of mass that consequently breaks up in the back seat of my car, leaving powdered ibuprofen all through my car because of my forgetfulness. When I used panadeine I got everything out; and, although it tastes worse, I'd rather use Panadeine as it comes without the expense of having to refuse driving my parents anywhere because my car is riddled with ibuprofen powder. I should probably clean it up - oh well. :p

No, it's been discussed in length previously - basically one can be hypo- to hyper-metabolisers of codeine (or any drug for that matter) leading to extreme (or none at all) effects. The physiology specifics can be found in earlier posts (a number of times explained by myself if you want to checkout my posts in this thread).
 
I use codeine usually once every 2 weeks.

I use it when I don't have weed (I'm a fucking stoner).

I dose 600mg - this is the dose I've aquired a taste for through a gradual process of tolerance building.
