Codeine and alcohol (wine) combination

Hi! I have some codeine / paracetemol(APAP) pills. They are 30/500mg. I cannot do a CWE because the pills dissolve in water immediatly. Recently I have been experimenting with codeine, with dissapointing results. I have tried 120mg and 150mg with little to no effect. My codeine tolerance is low to non existant, a week ago I used ~200mg codeine a day (for 5days) to relieve pain from surgery. I have not used any opiates for the past week.

My question is, how or if it is safe to mix codeine/APAP with wine (13 % ). I do not wish to cause any significant harm to my liver, so please take into consideration that I cannot seperate the paracetamol from the codeiene. If 150mg codeine didn't get me high, how much wine would be acceptable to enhance the experience? I have many pills and much wine, so any combo is possible. Although since there is 500mg APAP per pill, I guess I should be careful not to cause paracetamol poisining.

Thanks a lot for your help!

If you want to take 150mg codeine without doing a CWE, that's 5x30mg/500mg = 2500mg APAP and 150mg codeine.

I wouldn't recommend drinking any amount of alcohol with 2500mg APAP...

Use less water, or something. I'm no CWE expert, but I see no reason you can't do an extract on them.

Its not possible, because the pills are "soda pills". Not sure what the english term is, but the pills are made to dissolve when they touch water. They are not normal pills, and a CWE is not possible. I have tried before.

I think it's called "effervescent tablet" but maybe some native speaker would correct me?

Don't abuse it. Find another source of codeine. My friend who didn't use any drugs for recreational purposes, only APAP for period and flu/feaver (fact was she was using way too much) recently had her liver tested and the results showed that her liver isn't functioning properly. When you add another hepatotoxic substance (alcohol) it's probably becoming dangerous.

^ yeah, I don't think it would affect the solubility of the APAP/codeine though, usually all they do is just add some carbonate, so the only thing I can think that would affect it is decreased ph. I don't do CWEs often though, hopefully someone else can enlighten you on this a bit more.

Otherwise, as everyone else said, you don't wanna be mixing em especially as you're already taking quite high doses of APAP

I hope one day they dont make all apap pills dissolvable. no more cwe. anyways
go to the pharmacy & buy some normal codeine/apap tablets & cwe them.
u really need to take 400mg of codeine to feel anything if ya like me
u cant take more than a gram of apap if ya drinking imo & u wont even feel 60mg codeine.
so dont bother with them. go get drunk & take a couple for the hangover.

You absolutely cannot do a CWE on effervescent pills - the APAP is a soluble salt and will not be filtered out.

I really wouldn't combine that much APAP with alcohol personally, just because it is going to tax your liver a fair bit...

Try and find the pure codeine pills (10 mg), they are out there, we can't name sources of course. I would not combine alcohol with 2500 mg APAP, that is a liver damage risk. .
