Codeine 6-ghb ester

This compound looks like it could potentially be tasty. ANY THOUGHTS?

Well lets look at some doses

dose GBH = Common 1 - 2.5 g (powder) - curtsy of Erowid
dose codiene = ceiling at ~120 mg

So in theory if you're going to take a small dose you wont feel effects of GHB (or little of it) and if you take a large dose you wont feel the effects of codiene. I say just take them separately. =]

NOW if it was MORPHINE instead of codeine and if we esterified BOTH OH groups, then maybe id reconsider ;) but hey i dont like taking stimulants and depressants together....but thats just me

methylphenidate already has an ester linkages to something else, not sure if it's part of a pharmacophore though


smth i forgot to mention is that its gotta be metabolized TWICE for it to exert it's opioid effects, so morphine would be a better choice xD (i think so anyways)
 
Right, for metabolizing codeine to morphine (and the gluconurides), but that has no effect on how much GHB you're producing.

You'd be able to take grams extra beyond that point and only add to your GHB blood concentration.

It's sort of a waste of drugs though.

If you use morphine, you end up needing a dose of several hundred milligrams to get an effect out of the GHB- but you have an OD level of morphine (for most people). Use codeine, you can reach the right GHB level, but you end up wasting tons of useful chems.

Been there! Sometimes ideas just seem so great at those moments.

But anyway, it's really not a bad idea, and I think that codeine is probably the best choice of opiate- for the reasons mentioned above.

But what about other combinations, I don't think Glutethimide would probably make for a good combo. But I see that some people take doses of up to 4g- what's a typical dose though?
 
It definitely is not too bulky.

Check out things such as:

All of which are active at some level.

That said, a morphine + GHB combo drug is just asking for serious trouble. If it isn't respiratory depression it is a withdrawal that can possibly result in death.
 
I think you'd OD on the morphine long before you'd have gotten a high enough dose for the GHB to kill ya!
